Is there a replacement in the 2012 lineup of Wilson racquets for the Wilson BLX Tour? It seemed that some were close but I was unable to see one that is an exact match. Thanks in advance.

From what I've been hearing, the steam will be the blx tour replacement

Thanks. That makes sense but the string pattern differs slightly as well as the head size 95 vs. 100. The Juice Pro that Del Potro is slated to play seemed closer spec wise. I guess there may not be a replacement with the same mould.

I've heard that there will be a new paintjob on the same frame. It's one of Wilson's best-selling racquets, so they're not looking to get rid of it.

The Juice is rumored to be replacing the BLX Pro Tour.

I also looked on the Wilson tennis web site as well as the TWE web site and was not able to find an exact replacement at either site.

    Hello Fed Kennedy.

Can you post a link or the name of the frame? Thanks in advance.

The name is the same. I saw it in the 2012 dealer workbook at my lts. I cannot remember if it has amplifeel. The orange blue look is replaced by white orange.

I think it was the racket that nishikori used a couple of months ago

Neither the steam or juice replace the blx tour or pro tour.

The Steam and the Juice are way thicker and more powerful than either racquets.

The only one that may replace those racquets is the juice pro but it's thinner than either racquets. So your screwed with a thicker frame or a thinner frame.

    Hi Fed Kennedy

Thanks for the heads up on the new Tour BLX. I found the frame on the Wilson Tennis web site (which by the way for those interested in specs of all the new frames, they are conveniently available as well as a comparison tool). Looks like the new Tour BLX is a 25mm flat beam vs the 22mm flat beam of its predecessor. All other specs appear the same. Below is my feeble attempt to copy and paste from the comparison tool.
