Could this be another 2009 AO repeat?

    I doubt it, lol.

Roger is making enough errors that even Venus would be proud of.

Sorry but this is mentally weak. He's basically giving up. C'mon man, this is a joke!

He gave up. Normally he would have challenged there.

    Murray won't get past Berdych.

And Delpo will beat Djokovic but lose to Ferrer who will beat Tipsy.

Thus we will have a Ferrer/Berdych final and be guaranteed a new slam champion for the 1st time in, what, 200 years?

If this was Nadal down, no way he'd be giving up so easily.

Really want federer to at least make a fight for this set but if he doesnt then i hope that its a night match for murray vs Berdych on this form. Great chance for a murray/djokovic final too!

Birdie was in the same situation 3 yrs ago at the australian open and lost. I'm not buying it until he has match points.

That's why he bugs me. If he goes on a Delpo 2009 run, full credit to him. But, he will come up lame in the semi or final. You just know it.

He's probably suffering from a panic attack after having watched A-Rod finish his days...

That's true. He did say at one of the press conferences that he had a blocked nose, which likely has made him sick now.

Why are you guys doubting a slam champion?

Slam champion cannot be beaten by slamless in a slam.

Fed still has plenty of time to make a come-back - don't hit panic stations yet

Probably not, but Berdych seems to know how to get to Federer in ways Federer himself has not figured out...this late in his career.

    Eh, no.

-2009 Fed was a better player than he is now

-In their 2009 AO meeting, Fed was never behind (as in down a break) in any of the last 3 sets.

I have a feeling Birdie may outdo the meltdown by Cilic. He has shown in the past that he's capable.

So far its possible sickness and the fact he had a walkover, so its fish's fault.

This is just a straight arse beating. BP is right, though, if Fed doesn't chunk that swinging volley in the first set, he is up two breaks and wins that set. It might not have mattered, though.
