    Luv your username! :D

I know dolgo has only beaten ferru once before ... and the crowd will definitely favor david ... but alex has made some friends here in valencia this week, and he is in good form ... so it could happen (and I hope it does)

today I heard that, if dolgopolov wins this tournament, then he w/b world no. 16 ..... which would bring his year end world ranking up from its current no.21 to near his 2011 year-end ranking of 15 ... Go alex gooooooooo!

I'm gonna have to go with Dolgo in two sets, cuz if it extends to three, then Ferru would surely win!

Ferrer already won Valecia before on Clay and Hard. Has 5 titles this year.

Dolgo can take his second title of the year.

Ferrer got slugged by Dodig in the second....he could come in a bit tired. Plus the virus....it may be gone....he could still have some after effects.

Dolgo being fresh after snapping Melzer away could take this match.

    Dolgopolov in 3. 1-6,7-6(5),6-3.

Ferrer has not impressed me this week. He has struggled in pretty much every match. Dolgo, on the other hand, has been dominant. I like Dolgopolov to win this match. You can never count out Ferrer though...but I'm sure everybody already knows that lol.

meanwhile, over in Basel, delPotro's holding serve all match, regardless that everyone in the stadium is cheering for Roger! ... 2 all in the third

Valencia Final begins with Ferrer serving

What time is this stellar final happening?

    Is this happening now?

(I hope not, because the Basel final is in the third, and I don't think my screen - and head - split that many ways.)

I know ... huh? Delpo is proving Kipling's words, "If you can keep your head while all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ..."

Even I can do no better than watch the Valencia scoreboard!

dolgo's big bug-a-boo is his inconsistency ... understandable today cuz he's in the same situation delpotro is: facing a hometown crowd that's 100% for his opponent

I know, right? Not only is Ferru a hometown boy - he owns part of the tournament.

And they'll really be rooting for him since he and JCF didn't take that doubs title and Nico knocked JCF out in 1R in singles.

    I'm sure it'll be pandemonium.

Still watching Basel, b/c Rogi and JMDP are in a 3rd set TB.

Dolgo up 3-0 to start the 2nd set. Maybe he won't choke after all.

More luck from Ferrer. Dolgo dominating the point and loses it by Ferrer luck.

I'll be shocked if Dolgopolov doesn't choke here. Has had so many opportunities in Ferrer's service games and can't break through because of mental weakness.

A match which is meaningless for Tennis. Weaponless grinder named Ferrer is way too overranked.

A weaponfull Smasher named Delpotro is way overranked and overrated for you as well.

Tell me who should be ranked in the top ten?

Ferrer deserves the win.....it must mean much more than GS to win a home event...much less a home town. Federer was denied, but at least Ferrer got through.

He always seems so happy about it too.

Also - a threepeat in any title race? Not too shabby.

Dont come up with false facts. I have never said in my life that Delpo is overranked.

He is right there where he belongs with results that he has had.
