thats what i thought
IMO its a new cleaner pj of the OG one.
Cani get pics please to firstname.lastname@example.org
Try googling 'new zero swing-weight APD 74 RA killer arm-shredder with pointless logo upgrade.'
Try the title of this thread. I found the picture on some French tennis site.
Can I get picture to my email please: email@example.com
guys i saw it in the brochure today. it looks near enough the same with the pure drive new cortex system
its nothing that new or fancy..
Can I get the link/pics to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks in advance.
Please send to me as well.
Thanks for the email! It does look nice, also notice the logo is more modern
Can you send me the e-mail also?
Thanks, appreciate it!
Saw the picture. I like the colors and design alot. Big AERO letters look great. Looking forward to get my hands on it when it is sold. Hope it has the good qualities of the new PD combined with the aero design.
Not that most racquet technologies are really legit anyway, but would it kill Babolat to come up with some entirely new technology to integrate into the APD, or is changing the cosmetics good enough?
The sad thing is, it is.
Thanks to those who sent me pictures!
It looks great...
and I like the new line logo.
I am afraid it will be to stiff for my wrist.
but will give it a go for sure when it comes out...
i don't know if it's me but does it look beefier?
like the frame looks fatter compared to the old Aeropro Drives.
what do you guys think?
someone send me the link please? email@example.com
can someone email me the pics ?
If one were to go onto photobucket.com and search the username "pttennis,"
they might find something hint hint wink wink
Guys, this might make you a bit jealous,, but tomorrow i will receive the 2013 AeroPro drive to playtest
Its for a coming article in the magazine i write for. It will be extremely interesting. I really liked the update from the blue PD GT to the black active cortex PD. It felt so much more solid. Will report how it plays after the weekend. Will not post any pics though as it is going to be published in end of november and it will be out in the shops (the racquet) in December here in Sweden
Awesome Hankenstein. Really interested in the apd 2013.
Great pj. Iooks like tecnifibre logo
Can someone please send to firstname.lastname@example.org
I received my 2013 Babolat Aeropro Drive GT a few days ago and have played three matches with it. Overall really impressed with the stability and the feel with the new version. I really like the feeling of the new handle and cortex system. Same feeling with the 2012 Pure Drive racquet. Felt like I was hitting more spin then my previous Aeropro Drive GT and I could flatten out my forehand with no issues.
To me with the redesigned grip and cortex the racquet just felt more solid. I just wanted to give my feedback. If you have any questions let me know, but I am not going to take a picture of the racquet and post it on this forum because I am under contract with Babolat and that would not be fair to them.
Strung 57.5 pds RPM Blast 18g
Give us your review when you can. Looking forward to it. Please compare with the current APD when you give the review.
redesigned grip? how?
How do you feel about the comfort of the racquet.the stiffness level seems pretty high on paper
This is good news.
How does the quality of the new paint job compare to the APDGT?
Does the new racket feel the same as the APDGT in terms of weight and swingweight?
I read the new APD is stiffer. Does it absorb shock well when hitting the ball?
I was looking carefully the photo of this new APD and comparing it with the current GT version (picture in TW). Seems that the new version has a less rounded head and the throat area has a slightly different shape. I wonder if its just a visual effect. Can anyone do this exercise and comment?
What do you mean by the new handle system? Given a blind test of two rackets side by side, a blacked out 2010 APD GT and a blacked out 2013 APD GT, what noticeable differences would you point out between them? You've mentioned that the new frame feels solid. Have you noticed an issue with stiffness (I'm assuming not), or a reduction in swingweight? Would you label this as a substantial improvement over the existing APD GT model, or merely a minor upgrade with new cosmetics?
1) How does the new grip compare to the current grip? is it larger than normal size, again, like the current grip size?
2) Swingweight: Can you tell if the SW is higher or lower?
That is sexy.
I Love it!!!!! Hope the post doesn't get removed...
The frame looks great!, but what's with the logo? Awful...
Can someone please send the pictures to email@example.com
I think its an AERO.
Probably the same changes they made on the 2012 PDRs from the previous versions.
Frame does look great and the redesigned logo isn't that bad. Better than the old one for sure.
Yeah I forgot to mention the throat of the racquet seems a hair thinner in width vs the previous model. The specs of racquet is
Unstrung Weight 10.6oz
Stiffness 74 RA So racquet is just a little stiffer
Balance 7 pts HL
Section 23-26-22 mm
I did notice especially on one handed slices the ball lands very deep in the court. Racquet is very effortless to hit groundies deep as well. Can't really speak of volleys because I usually rally from the baseline. I thought my serve had some extra pop to it though perhaps the extra stiffness of the racquet. I played another friend of mine that is rated 5.0 and we usually have tight matches, but with the new Aeropro I beat him 6-4 6-0. I just felt I couldn't miss and I hardly had any unforced errors.
I am impressed with the new stick......its not just an updated paint job, but to me feels redesigned.
The original version was always 23 26 22 so there's no change with it.
323 strung swingweight is normal, but the stiffness is way over the original.
If anyone doesn't mind, I would love a sneak peek too! firstname.lastname@example.org
As somebody else has said, simply google the following two words: photobucket pttennis
WOW.... that is fugly.............
Should be a good iteration. Looking forward to 12/12
I really think that it has more of a threatening apperance than the previous one! Very nice Pj in my opinion. But is it me or the throat looks a little bit too long?
I'd love to hear in a bit of detail just how stiff and harsh this thing really plays. I do fear the worst TBH.
yeah the stiffness is rather scary. i thought the current one was already as stiff as they could go.
as for the PJ, i just hate the huge stretched out font plastered everywhere.
A stiffness of 74 would make it stiffer than the Pure Drive, which makes absolutely no sense.
To much focus on the stiffness imo! The 2012 PD has high stiffness but it doesnt feel that stiff. The active cortex actually seems to do wonders. It will be interesting to try the 2013 APD out and see because i used the APD GT for over a year and can make a direct compare
