One of my biggest fears for tonight is Djokovic coming out with one of his famous slow starts. I know it often doesn't matter, and he can still pull out the win, but I hope he doesn't dig himself a hole right off the bat.

I agree. He needs to be sharp from the start. He can't afford a slow start in that one. I think USO will have been a good warning. He paid a high price for his slow start. I think he will be better prepared this time.

Agreed also even though he has beaten Murray twice since then albeit in best of three both times he lost the first set and was playing catch up! He will really want to make a clean start tonight :)

djokovic will outpush murray in 4 sets. Murray has the best serve of the big 4, but it doesn't matter. Only your stamina matters.

Damn, you're right. Before that, he had always won the 1st set when he had won their matches. He has to get back to healthy habits. It would take tons of pressure off his back if he could win that 1st set.

Murray played incredible against Federer. If he plays like that again, he will win.

If Murray wins, would the rankings become a little skewed? Djokovic with no slams holding the World No. 1 ranking, Federer will only 1 slam holds No. 2 while Murray holds No. 3 with 2 slams + Olympics gold...

So the BBC had an article on their website asking all the great tennis players of the past and andrew castle who they thought would win. Was 7-3 in favour of Djokovic and most saying it will be because of the rest and better preperation for the final he had.

Is that really a factor tho? Murray is still one of the fittest players in tennis right now. I find it very hard to believe he will "tire out" during the final, even if its against Djokovic.

Well, it could become a factor if the match drags on, which isn't exactly a bold statement considering their style of play.

I doubt it will be the deciding factor though, or a major one.

That's not skewed, there's more to tennis than Slams. Djokovic won the WTF which is worth a lot more than the Olympic gold, etc.

Due to the same final matches happening over and over again with no end in sight, they should force the top 4 to actually dress up and act in character to keep things interesting during finals. As a sort of intermission period until someone else can make a final. Rafael the Ninja Turtle, Fed Batman, Djoker the Joker, Murray the Bill Murray.

I believe in Murrah. Well, actually not really sure.....Novak looks mentally stronger.

We'll see. If the first two sets take 2 hrs I'm going back to bed. :)

He won the Fed match in 5. He won the USO in 5. Murray is young and fit. He can go the distance. + don't be ridiculous. 1 day off is plenty enough to recover from a 4 hour 5 setter. If Djoko recovered just fine from a 5 hour 5 setter, I'm sure Murray can do the same after a much less challenging match.

Agreed. Murray's SF against Federer was only 2 minutes longer than his US Open SF match against Berdych. He still came back out and beat Djokovic in 4 hours 50- something minutes.
