Ummm...WOW! 6-1 third set by Dmitry. I'm impressed.

This changes things with my third round in SDL.

    I dont like it.

I want stronger rivals to face Nadal so he needs to step up his level

He needs to play real contenders to adquire the level enough to face Nole

Ferrer has 840 points to defend from now until the start of RG.

With the lost, he loses 280 points.

Basically, Nadal needs to win Madrid (only place where he can add points) and defend his Rome title. He also has to hope that Ferrer loses early in Madrid and Rome since Ferrer himself is defending QF and SF points respectively

Wow... big win for Tursunov over Ferrer... big win.

Robredo maintaining his high form... gave dimitrov a breadstick. impressive.

Tomic needs to train on clay more... to learn that he has to fight to win matches... or in this case, games...

You think it makes any difference what other opponents my brother plays to prepare him for Novak? Only Novak plays the way he does, no preparation against anyone else will help him in his matches with Novak. He needs a change of tactics.

    Oh my god.

    What is Dimitrov doing?

Who is this pensioner Robredo anyways?

If Ferrer cannot even cope with Tursunov, it's not a big stretch to believe he'll lose early in both Rome and Madrid. Ferrer is gonna relinquish the #4 meekly. Thank you David :)

Ferrer is 100% being paid by the Spanish government and/or French Open tournament organizers to give the number 4 ranking to Nadal before the French Open.

The crazy thing when it comes to Nadal and clay is that people expect him to alwys be 2006-2008 Nadal when it comes to dominating and bagels and breadsticks. Last year's FO notwithstanding, but i've kinda accepted that he's NOT going to be destroying opponents like that anymore. Not because I don't think he's as good as he once was, but because he's getting older and you tend to waiver in focus and concentration.

Berlocq's grunt kills me. The guy sounds like he's being drawn and quartered with every shot.

As long as he wins his matches in straights (for the most part), I don't really care about bakery products.

If you bet $100 on Tursunov you would have won $3,000.

According to Roger Federer, tennis GOAT, artist, father and family man...
Nadal is up 6-4, 5-2 against Berlocq...

I usually don't believe in jinxing but this time Rafa was up 5-2 vs Berlocq and I posted something like: good start for Rafa on his way to win 2 out of the 3 remaining clay events before RG and at least going deep in the 3rd (which is what I believe he'll do) and next thing I know Berlocq had come back to 5-4 while I was typing. So I had a superstitious moment I confess. Shouldn't last though. Not my style overall ;)

Dimitrov lost to Robredo 7-5, 6-1. Perhaps Rafa's praise that he's the present and future was hasty and/or too liberal.

I need to emphasis this AGAIN

Ferrer only loses 50 points because one of his 250 tournament wins can become countable!

Nothing surprising! I bet the guy didn't care, he made a successful rush in Monaco, why would he care about barcelona ? the way he went down in the second set just proves it...

Come on, don't be foolish. Berd can't even beat Rafa on hard, not even indoor, much less on clay!

Is play suspended for the entire day???

If so, that's a huge backup Thursday, only finishing 3 of 8 matches.

Berd can beat anyone on any surface if in form, at his best he is not far from soderling its mentally where he lets himself down. Anyone who beats the goat the amount of times Berd has needs to be taken seriously on all surfaces.

Please! Berdych is not beating Nadal. He has been Nadal's pigeon and has not defeated Nadal since 2006. The only reason Berdych is able to beat Federer now is because Federer is past his prime. When Federer was in his peak, he wiped the floor with that clown Berdych.

With the way Nadal is playing, Berdych certainly can beat him right now. Especially with the rain and heavy conditions.

They may as well all pack it up and go home...imagine sitting around for days waiting for the rain to stop.

Interesting. Will they start playing the matches on indoor clay if the weather doesn't clear up in a day or so ? They can't possibly play all matches on Sunday?
