Canas beat Federer twice in quick succession in 2007, at Indian Wells and Miami, after a few years of Federer losing very few matches on hardcourt (only Nadal, Safin and Murray had beaten Federer on hardcourt in the previous 2+ years). Federer also looked like he was going to break the 46 wins in a row open era streak of Vilas until Canas beat Federer at Indian Wells.

Sure. Just like how Nadal was going to have the greatest win streak to start the season with his first win in Chile. That went well.

Or Nadal Channel Slam champion entering the second round of Wimbledon yet again in 2012, on his way to being channel slam champion. Yup, history was made for sure.

You've jinxed him like crazy, even if everything you said was with good noble intentions. :)

That's sport. No one can predict the outcome with absolute certainty. That's why people watch tennis. If everything was 100% predictable, nobody would want to watch Rafael KING Nadal. And Rafael KING Nadal provides the most variety and uncertainty in his game out of anyone currently on tour. It keeps his opponents (literally) on their toes. :p

We don't know what his situation was. What we do know is that he ran around in that RG final like a horse powered on steroids only 3 weeks before he left the game for 8 months (after the humiliating loss to Rosol). Another thing we still question is the silent ban. Just like we all question how Djokovic turned into Superman overnight with unlimited stamina when not that long ago he was having all sorts of trouble with his stamina.
And we also know, as fact, that Djokovic uses that oxygen chamber to increase his red blood cells and endurance which is similar to the oxygen tent used by Nadal and Ferrer and other Spaniards.

Do you know him personally? Unless you do, you have no idea why he was really off for seven months. It is very hard to believe the injury story when he was playing lights out and running around like a rabbit at the FO and W AND he played singles and doubles in Halle. Sure sound like a serious injury to me.
If Federer was off for the same amount of time after he was seen running around like a rabbit, I can just imagine the negative posts from you. Such a hypocrite!

Now, who didn't see that coming? Djokovic is the only one who can beat Ralph on clay.
