That's a relief. According to some posts, they all ride in the back of the van, stop at a subway on the way to the courts, play their matches and then climb back in the van for a 8-hour ride home.

Agreed with the sentiment about the draw which seems favorable for Virginia.
It appears that the UCLA side of the draw is loaded.
Appreciate the insight about scheduling days off between the 16s, quarters and semis.
I was Looking at the Buckeye challenge to get to the championship, it looks brutal.
OSU would need to face A & M in the round of 16, USC in the quarters, UCLA in the semis, and if Bucks survive, Uva in the finals.

    Just wondering out loud ...
if instead of the ITA computer formula,
human polls were used for ranking the top tennis teams and seeding the draw.
How do the Talk Tennis gurus think the top 5 teams UVa, UCLA, USC, OSU, UGA would be seeded?
    Here's my "vote":

    1. Virginia (24-0)
    2. UCLA (24-1)
    3. Ohio State (30-2)
    4. USC (22-4)
    5. Georgia (22-4)

I would have seeded them in this order:

    1. Virginia
    2. UCLA
    3. Ohio State
    4. Georgia
    5. USC

I'll try to get some starting with the Quarterfinals - from the pics I've seen the bleachers aren't very tall so it'll be a little tougher to get a good angle. It stinks that they put 2 matches on at the same time instead of spreading them out one after another.

That's quite a stat! I went to state for a couple of degrees but still like the Toreros ok, when I lived there USD had a real strong program with a Peruvian male Norriega ranked highly and a girls pair (Laura Richards and somebody) who were nationally strong.

Anyone have stats for the girls matches going on right now? The NCAA link for Indiana-Vanderbilt is taking me to a completed match in April.

Just because he was listed in the lineup doesn't mean he'll play. Kentucky has Gomez and Roberts listed at 3 and 6 and neither of them are going to play. Kandath probably won't play either but they stuck him on the roster just in case maybe.

Minnesota and VCU tied at three. First singles will decide it with Minny up a set

Two things that could have happened to Bonin:
1)Wennakoski came out on fire, and Bonin mailed in the second to leave something in the tank for the third.
    2) The sunny and hot conditions in Charlottesville (it's sunny and in the 80's here) are impacting Bonin worse than Wennakoski.

Now their reward is to get waxed by Virginia. What a horrible draw for the Gophs
They have had a good season and will be better next year.

Not likely although Toledo at second has beaten some top players. Minny would have a chance in some regionals but not this one

They got their set at #2. They were actually close in the remaining matches when the match ended. Would have liked to see if Toledo could have finished off Domijan.

The other matches were not good. Bonn got wiped out and he is a solid experienced player
