ok... people actually playing tennis now... Seppi Vs. Mathieu...

Seppi leeds 5-3 in the first set. It seems conditions are a bit windy in Dubai... that doesn't bode well for Berdych with his extremely high ball toss.

It doesn't matter what Federer's group has been like. He is greatest WTF player of all time, with a record breaking six wins and another two finals on top of that. Simply means, give him any draw, chances are he'll still be there towards the end. He has only failed once to not qualify from his group, and that was in 2008, when Murray played one of the best matches he could to stop Federer.

Is anyone else as infatuated with Daniel Brands as I am? I think I'd choose him to win a Grand Slam if I could choose any (male) player. Hope he can get a result here, 5-5 against Serra. Should be winning this match really.

Daniel has a great net game and good serve. I like his style, but seems a bit one dimensional.

Yes, that was a very poor effort on his part. A very winnable match and judging from that scoreline, he didn't show up...

I see Jaziri is keeping pace with Rog after 7 games, still on serve. Any chance he could sneak a set?

what changes have they made to the courts?

Jaziri doing well, would have thought he'd be down a set by now (serving well)... he needs to get the ball in play more for his return games... give Federer some practice.

Jaziri looks like he's in the 5th set of a 4 hour match!

Still holding serve at 5-5 in the first...

Well well. Let's see though. Real players serve out sets, let's see if Jazzman can do it.

    Jazz takes the set!

Serving well, capitalising on Fed's many errors... Very low 1st service % though. I guess he's really going for them.

He got a warning for taking too much time.

Lol.. Federer playing as bad as ever. Would be interesting to see him go out here in the first round after his bad loss in Rotterdam.

Wow... federer really going for his shots, pushing Jazz two to three meters behind the baseline...

Tearing through it now. Maybe Jazz is just doing a 2nd set tank job like in the WTA, and will come back firing in set 3?

I havent said this before, but I genuinely think Fed is done.

Motivation is less, poor showings in Melbourne and Rotterdam, no training to get better in between, after Rotterdam again going to Africa. The exhibitions in South America. I just think he doesnt have it anymore. He'll be alright and Wimbledon, though not special. I think it'll be more and more losses from here on.

centre linesman has been making so many mistakes... calling serves out when they're not.

Anyway, Roger breaks... should close this out in the next 10 minutes or so.

Now tbh I didn't see the match so I'm not sure how accurate this is, but it seems he had to move up the gears because he couldn't possibly drop any.

Looks like he was in the negative gears in the first set there.
