Oh OK, I misunderstood. I think his chance is excellent but sure, everything is possible in tennis. Win or lose, 4 finals to start his comeback is an amazing achievement.

No it is not. You are thinking about 2011, it is now 2013. Things change in tennis. It may be that Djokovic will continue to beat Nadal on a hc, but it may not be the case. Djokovic has to make it to Nadal first , no?

What's funny is a part of me knew from the start of the tourney that he would make it to the semi's at least. I'm happy that he's made changes to his hard court game

Man you must be such a sad little insecure person in real life cause you're SO FULL OF YOURSELF on these boards each time Nadal wins something. I guess when people fail in real life they're looking for some kind of idol who could make their lifes look less miserable.

I agree to a degree, this isn't 2011 however Novak has started 2013 better than 2012 and with Nadal looking good on HC (not great), his movement is still lacking. Novak would take advantage of this and would win imo.

I really love the way he plays now: calm, aggressive, deep, as efficient with bh and fh, clutch at net. The only thing is sometimes his serve gets shaky but everything else looks great.

Which means Novak is invincible when he not losing :)

Just like Novak's only chance to beat Nadal on clay and Grass is when Nadal is playing like cr@p. You may have a point.

Hey don't go too hard on me. I wanted a Djoko/Nadal final. That was my first choice. Too bad it won't happen. At least, Djoko defended his points from last year. Maybe, he'll win Miami next week.

I am not saying Nadal will beat Djokovic on hc but I don't think it is automatically a sure thing that Djokovic will win in 2013.

True that, but damn it...I really wanted a Djokdal final. Their rivalry is the best in tennis at this time.

This final with Delpo is gonna be crap, he's gassed and can't do anything about it.

I would be very surprised if delpo has enough left in the tank against nadal tomorrow. Even if delpo was 100% i would say it was tight, with both guys capable of beating the other. After 2 gruelling matches against the top 2 hardcourt grinders on tour, there's no way I'm betting on delpo for the win. Nadal looks well, and I expect him to exploit delpo's questionable endurance.

Nice. I was thinking Nadal's shot again at this title would be through Murray or Delpo. Was definitely not expecting Delpo to beat Djok

    Hopefully Nadal doesn't blow it.

    - - -

Delpo's only 3 wins versus Nadal were in late 2009 when Nadal was at a low on HC... 3 wins in a row!

    Nadal vs Delpo H2H

Exactly. Nadal deserves more respect than that. Although it's pretty evident that his game isn't anywhere near as effective as Djokovic's on hardcourts. Djokovic has won double the amount of hardcourt Slams and hardcourt Masters than Nadal and has a dominant H2H over Nadal on hardcourts. So it's evident who the superior hardcourt player is today.

Yep, it's my favorite one but neither Novak nor Rafa are machines. There's gotta be some ups and downs. Also Delpo is a bit younger. Tough to maintain a constant domination after 25/26.

The funny thing is tennis_pro was so butthurt after the French open last year that he started quoting every Nadal fan to bitterly tell them that Nadal had just won his last French open title. Clearly, he is quite full of himself as well. The only reason he is upset is because you being optimistic about Nadals future makes his blood boil

Nadal will be gifted a hardcourt title by beating Harrison, an on-fire Gulbis, Federer, Berdych and Del Potro?? WOW your hate is strong lmao. Fail.

Everybody on that list isn't a threat except for Delpo but sadly, he's tired and exhausted.

Are you serious? She didn't say anything vicious or rubbed it in/gloated, she merely said it's impressive for Nadal to make 4 finals in a row after such a long layoff which it is.

Oh yeah, she also predicted a 11 time slam winner in his mid 20s will reach #1 at some point this year, the audacity!

    Read what you wrote.

I don't recall any Federer fan being so freaking overconfident all the time. Even when Nadal was out I don't remember Federer fans being on him all the time. Now when Nadal is back you're suddenly reborn and obviously have to keep spraying it all the time so that you make sure that everyone knows it.

Read my post above. She's been spraying her loverboy BS for at least a week now. She's like the worst kind of a fan possible. When her idol wins she laughs at everyone (Nadal owns Federer, Berdych is a pidgeon, Del Potro will get owned in the final and will be tired kind of stuff), suddenly predicts her loverboy to get back to no 1 in a month but when Nadal is out of the game or loses his matches, she doesn't post at all.

A 2009 USO Delpo you was playing at his very peak of his powers.

Rafa will get a fifth of that tomorrow.

Lol look at Djokovic's opponents in his "streak" this year, you have no room to complain. Rafa played a good tournament. Period. Circumstances will be lost to history.

    DelPo in 2.

He may have a lot more chances to come into the net, Nadal won't be returning many of his shots sharply like Djokovic does.

Yeah, she's overconfident in some of those but still nothing to get bent out of shape for.

It's typical TW fan behaviour, nothing out of the ordinary.

She's a fan and she's elated that her Idol is back from a long break. When Fed wins another Slam, you can rejoice and gloat all you want. Today, it's her day. If Delpo beats Rafa tomorrow, then you have the right to get back at her. Until then, drink some water and chill and have a laugh....:???:

Can't believe Del Potro is really doing this.. Amazing. I was happy that he beat Murray yesterday but I honestly didn't expect this. Especially after the first set and when it was 3-0 in the third. I wish him good luck in his final. Hope he wins, but completely understandable if he doesn't. An awesome tournament for him either way.

Also, guys you're fighting about practically nothing here.. please stop
