VCU was unseeded
#1 Virginia at #11 Texas A&M – 7pm est/6pm cst – Livestats & Video
How about Jeremy Efferding. Last week he beat Austin and Jomby and now he knocks off the #1 player in the land.
Yeah, they probably ought to think about moving him up to #1, since Ore is 5-9, with no wins over anyone in the Top 100.
#19 Baylor at #4 Ole Miss – 2pm est/1pm cst – Livestats & Ole Miss Blog
#40 Michigan at #52 Michigan State – 6pm est – Livestats
#21 Tulsa at #3 UCLA – 7pm est/4pm pst – Livestats - Giron is still playing the futures event so he'll be out.
Yeah, Ore really could be playing 4 or 5. I guess A&M is pulling an Ohio State move by putting him at 1. I'm not sure if it is really to their benefit.
giron plays his ITF match in the morning so I would not be surprised if he plays in his dual match as well.
so when does he goes to classes ?
I think he has too much energy and time. At Stanford, they take academics little more seriously. Thank you
Baylor and Ole Miss will be a good one. Pradella is much better than 122. Lets see if he can get a big scalp vs Scholtz. Lutjen better be ready for Lenz.
12 foreigners will be playing in that one for those who care about that stuff.
Ole Miss pulls out the doubles point winning #2 dubs 9-8 (3)
Giron just lost 7-5 in the 3rd.
Baylor flips Padella and Lenz in line-up
Skogeng back into singles at #6
Is Giron going pro next year ? They will most likely win the NCAA then he won't have much left to do in College tennis.
Surprisingly, ole miss is winning at their weakest positions. Maytin used to be a solid player.
I thought Stanford was pretty much a lock to win it all this year.
Finally a word of wisdom. but realistically they are looking at round of 16. That will be a win win in preparation for 2014. We are going to get #1 and #3 player in the nation, I am hoping.
He played at 2 last year and wasn't half bad. He beat Alcorta for OU, Carvalho for Texas Tech, and even beat Ben McLachlan from Cal. Now he can't even hold down the 6 spot.
3 matches at Ole Miss is 2nd Set TB.
Scholtz was up 6-2 in TB now 6-6
Looks like the Rebs are buckling down. Kallberg was the hero last week and it may come down to him again this week.
Got to hand it to Ole Miss they keep findings ways to win. Seems like someone different steps it up every match. They've done a great job winning the doubles point to grab the early momentum.
Michigan state took doubles from Michigan. Probably wont matter but michigans lack of depth could cause a headache.
Spartans lead on 4 courts early. This would be a disastrous loss for Michigan. What's up with Vlad Stefan? He can't buy a win anymore, yet is somehow still ranked.
UNC Wilmington upsets Yale 7-0. Although I would not be surprised if they have to forfeit that because they played Cooprider over Aita at 1. I'm sure Yale will protest and I see no justification for that move.
I don't see how you can challenge a lineup if your opponent won in every spot. It'd be one thing if Cooprider got blown out but he didn't, he won.
It seems your words have inspired Vlad - he's up 3-0 in the 3rd in the deciding match.
Giron sat out doubles but is playing in singles - in a 1st set TB with Marsland.
UCLA 4 Tulsa 3 - Final. Novikov went down in straights and Giron and Thompson lost 3rd set supertiebreaks.

Blue gray field has really gone down in quality this year.
Tight doubles point in Athens, comes down to 1. Gators serving 7-8
Dawgs take it at #1 9-8 (2) to claim the point
Vandy takes dubs over Miss St, Kentucky takes dubs over Ole Miss, Tennessee takes dubs over S Carolina
Gamecocks playing well in singles.
This Wagland/Piro match at 3 ought to be good. I'll get some video
I'm surprised Duke handled Wake so easily. Wake made a mistake moving Ho down to 6 and moving Mays and Lee up.
Piro didn't act like he wanted to be out there - Wagland rolls 6-2 6-2
I'm not surprised. The only spot Wake had a good chance of winning was probably 2. Duke was better or even at every other spot
None of the SEC matches being played out, they are stopping after its been clinched.
Georgia over Florida 4-0.
Tennessee over S Carolina 4-1
Kentucky over Ole Miss 4-1
Miss State leads Vandy 3-2. Likely comes to #6
Vandy may get the upset over Miss St, Yee serving for the match at 5 and my man Rhys Johnson up 4-2 in the 3rd. This would be a big win on the road if they can finish it
I really don't like that. What difference does an hour make when the next match isn't until Sunday?
Vinti serving for the match for Miss St
Johnson breaks back, TB to decide match
Rhys takes the TB 7-1, Vandy gets the upset
The difference is, not changing the outcome of the match and a season altering injury. Hey, I don't like it either, but if I was a coach and had the chance to end the match once the 4th point was had, I'd take it to. If matches were required to finish and kids were playing hurt and the 4th point was had, I could see them tanking or their coach telling them to default.
I can understand not finishing when a match is far from an end but there have been a few SEC matches recently that end at like 1-5 and 5-6. It should not become a regular thing as it appears it is becoming in the SEC. A player is at risk of a freak ankle crack at anytime. He could just as easily get injured in a first set than 3rd.
There's a big difference getting hurt when it matters and getting hurt when the match is over and did not have to be played. It's the rule and the coaches use it. Not gonna change.
What do you mean it's the rule? The majority of coaches prefer to play it out. Boland even preferred Styslinger to play a whole set rather than a super tiebreaker vs A&M
Pretty sure it's a conference play rule. Not sure if in the SEC they are required to stop or if the coaches can decide to play it out on their own.
JLyon would know.
Did you say they will forfeit after winning 7-0??? Not sure you understand the rules!!!????
