Thanks! I don't think Texas schools are the only ones capable of drawing large crowds... I'll have to check the attendance rankings later to see how it's distributed by region.

This is what college tennis needs to be like, every match, though! Large crowds that lead to a vibrant atmosphere. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed being out in the beautiful weather today.

I just read in the TCU write up that Superlano led 4-0 in that 3rd set TB and had multiple match points. That is tough.

It is tough... There's a reason why Whitehead won the NCAA regional tournament in the fall though (we also hosted it). He's been in those situations tons of times, and he's so solid and came up with the shots every time. He's a good player, and I was impressed by his play. Pulled a ************* ace in the tiebreak too.

I myself thought it'd be tough to pull out the win once we lost at #6 to get to 3-3-3... I feared the top 3 would be too tough for us, and I was right.

Gators and Vandy in rain delay. Just enough annoying sprinkle to cover the courts. Coaches debating whether to wait or move indoors.

If UK loses this one I'll have to adjust my previous statement about considering th a top 30 team

Top 50-60 - generous considering the only team they've beaten in approximately nine months is Murray st

I think this quote is a little biased. Now that they've lost their regular #3 for the aseason, i agree, they are no longer a top 15 team. I would say top 25 is more accurate. Their biggest problem with losing the #3 slot is not only moving everyone else up, but it's causing the #3 doubles team to play at #2 again weakening the lineup.

Yeah I know I'm exaggerating quite a bit, not even sure they're losing this one today, still two tough close outs for SC

Just venting at the absurdity of UK continuing to be ranked above Duke
-one team has four losses, two of which came against undefeated UVA, so only two losses against teams that have been found to be beatable this year
-one team has 9-10 losses after today and none of them against UVA
-similar "bad" losses with both losing to the erratic illini

Three, but seating is limited. I watched Bob get his W and then headed out to catch the end of the masters. Looks like split sets at 1 & 2 with Alford rolling early at 4.

How high in the rankings will Alabama, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Ole Miss climb this week, based on their SEC results this weekend? :)

UCLA should play Thompson at 4 and Mkrtchian at 5. Thompson has a more dangerous game for better opponents while Mkrtchian is more solid.

When Standford gets beat 5-2 or 6-1 this will prove what.

On the other hand they desperately need the win to have a remote sniff at an at large bid. But that won't happen todAy.

Feddie is losing his mind again

Anyway, pepperdine's strength is their big 2 up top

I fully expect UCLA to get their stuff together and take this match without tearney out there today...if they can't win this one that's a poor poor effort

Sofaer got the break back in the 3rd. You would think Thompson would finish this off but you never know.

How so since Thompson isn't a lefty? Are you saying Clay serves up a lot of double faults?
