If you go to Texas A&M's tennis forum you will see it full of arrogance about being in the SEC and how much better off their program is now because of it. So good to see Oklahoma go in there and slap them around today.

It says Cotrone lost by default. Did anybody see what happened?

They are the only school I've ever seen that is set up that way.

    1. McLachlan (Cal) def. Morrissey 6-3 6-0
    2. Konigsfeld (Cal) def. Paige 6-2 7-6
    3. Johnson (Cal) tied Romanowicz 7-5 6-7
    4. Stineman (Stanford) leads Bayane 6-4 2-6 3-2
    5. Jayashankar (Cal) def. Ball 6-2 7-6
    6. Tsodikov (Stanford) def. Houghton 6-4 6-3

Stanford won doubles. Cal leads 3-2. Cal had both R. McLachlan and Engsted out.

Cal going to win it 5-2. Bayane comes back from a break down to win it 6-4 in the 3rd.

Unfortunately for Stanford fans, I think that result says more about Stanford than Cal.

When UCLA beat USC today in basketball I wonder of the fans chanted "just like tennis".

Looks like Kandath and Strobel were not playing for Stanford?

Kandath out probably for season. Broken hand or wrist I guess.

Ricky mclachlan out for season. I think it's a broken ankle, or something in his lower leg.

Riki will be a bigger loss for Cal than Kandath will be for Stanford. Neither is going to beat UCLA or USC but that might open the door up some for Washington and Oregon.

Not the most impressive win in the world for UGA over ETSU today.

KU Singh is still being held out - no one seems to be talking about the reason. Nick Wood rolled his ankle a week or so ago so he's been out too. We've got Tennessee coming in on Friday and if one of those guys doesn't play we'll have a hard time beating them. Both Nunez and Diaz are struggling against mid-major 5s and 6s.

There is no way either of those teams beat Cal. I agree Riki is a bad loss and I feel bad for him but we have the players to cover for him. Our team goes about 8-9 deep. If college tennis matches were played with 9 singlles we would be top 7.

Pepperdine and TCU going at it right now - TCU took dubs but Pepperdine took all 1st sets and has already finished 3 matches including a return to the win column for Mousheg - LiveStats

A friendly reminder - it is 2013. Klahn and Thatcher graduated and they haven't recruited anyone to take their place.

Buckeyes take the doubles point easily over UNC. Nelson Vick playing at #1 for UNC against his old team. No Hess-Olesen today for the Heels.

UNC not doing too bad so far in singles - Vick took the 1st set over Rola and Parker took the 1st set from McCarthy.

North Carolina not able to sustain the momentum and Ohio State is moments away from getting the win. Kobelt won 3 & 2, McCarthy won in 3, and Diaz up 6-4 5-2.

Ole Miss is not yet playing their new South African, they have Bama, Auburn this weekend and then murders row of UGA, TN, KY, Vandy the following two weeks, not a good time to bring a newbie regardless of talent

Generally, if the tourney is at a country club/park (for example, Sherwood, Ojai, La Jolla doubles), there is no live webcam and 90% of the time, no live scoring.

USC splits up their original #2 and #3 teams. Gomez/Quiroz and De Vroome/Johnson are paired up this weekend. Hanfmann/Sarmiento are also at the tournament.

I wouldn't worry about the scoring, La Jolla is a fab event that is more about fun tennis and the beach than totally serious competition. I think of it as their spring break in tennis with coaches playing and a lot of crazy stuff off the court in a great setting.

Is this the first college tennis match with competing live blogs going on simultaneously? I don't recall if that happened last year in any matches.

Probably the 1st time since these 2 met in Athens 2 years ago.

No KU Singh or Nick Wood today for Georgia. Beating Tennessee without those 2 would be a big accomplishment. Not too many matchups where we are favored. Libietis is favored over Pasha at 1, Jones and Collins would be favored over Brasseaux and Nunez/Diaz at 5 and 6. Wagland/Reese at 2 and Pieters/Fickey at 3 are toss-ups. Chaplin probably a slight favorite over Smith at 4. Need big performances from everyone today to have shot.

I don't really see any upset chances today for the lower ranked teams. Minnesota could beat Drake, but other than that there isn't much of a chance for the underdogs.

LSU just took dubs point over Vandy with a break on 3. Vandy was up a break on that court midway through the set too.
