That's my point...if you even feel the need to appear on the show and argue with Bayless, you're probably a d-bag. :)

Ali was a d-bag back then...just ask Joe Frazier (RIP). The love for Ali came much later.

Just as Sherman reacted excitedly from the emotionally charged scene which was the NFC Championship, I think the consumer had a knee-jerk reaction to Sherman from the emotionally charged environment of their living room couch. And just as Sherman tempered his comments after given time to settle down, I think his critics will soften, given time to reflect.

    :)

I like Sherm. If he was a Niner, I'd love him. However, he is high as hell on Adderall. The fact is, the seahawks have a drug problem, and in a game of inches it matters and yes it is cheating. It is worth an extra half step at this level.

The fact that Sherman won his appeal just puts him in Ryan Braun territory.

Agree with you totally. Heck the skilled players the Patriots have wouldn't even get on the field if they even made the roster for Denver. If Manning would've lost with that advantage he has at skilled positions, it would've ended all the BS that hes the best ever. Top 5 maybe but the best ever doesn't have a losing record in the post season.

Its awesome what Wilson has done with his WRs too since his number 1 and 2 guys have been out most the year.

It's a shame Sherman is getting all the hype leading into the SB because he's just one cog in the LOB and I'm not sure he'll be as nearly important as Earl Thomas is to their success vs Manning. The Thomas/Kam Chancellor tandem at safety will win or lose the chess match with Mr. Omaha. Thomas is good enough in one-deep schemes to free up Chancellor to take away Julius Thomas and you know #18 has always used his TEs as the fulcrum to dissect coverages.

I'm confident Carroll, whose specialty has always been DB coaching, will scheme well enough to slow the Denver passing attack where it will be manageable for Seattle's offense to keep them close. Lynch will have to get his yards after contact for them to stay two-dimensional. If that doesn't happen, it may be a long day for Wilson and his receiving corps. One plus...it looks like Harvin will be ready to play.

    Hoping for a decent game!

I've learned that everyone is different. I wouldn't have done what he did, but I have no problem with what he did to Micheal Crabtree on the field even after the play. It's part of the game. They both apparently both have been trash talking to each other. I don't think I would have blasted him in the interview, but I don't think he's a thug either. I think people that are calling him a thug are using that word as the new code word for the "N" word. They are also using the computer to say on twitter what they can't say to Black people to their face. Just a bunch of bitter racist people, but it's to be expected.

    Not this again!

Can't criticize anyone who happens to be black about anything (even if it's completely unrelated to race) without a few people screaming racism.

So confuzzling - if I like Champ Bailey's style more than Shermy's, what does that have to do with race at all?

Ever stop to consider that it may be mainly you confusing the word "thug" with black people? Personally, I see many non-thugs who happen to be black and thugs who happen to be white.

Its obvoius that the word "thug" will be taken out of Americas vocabulary soon. "Thug" is racist. "Obamacare" is racist. Geez

It used to be believed that "thug"'s names had to end in a vowel. Predjudice has an awfully long history...Marconi, Tesla, Fermi weren't very thuggish!

If Peyton wins this, he definitely might be able to pull an Elway (if his head sticks to his neck).

Two days to go. Heart says Seahawks, head says Broncos and Manning.

The potential for the game is huge, let's just hope it's the best game it can possibly be.

I also thought Peyton would hang 'em up if he won, but then he came out and said explicitly a few days ago that he will return for another year win or lose - hopefully win!

Yeah, Elway and Lewis last year, although still playing at such a high level, it felt like they had given all they had. Peyton still has a year, maybe two in him imo.

I figure he's confident his team would win, after all they've gotten this far to and literally taste it thus he is banking on a repeat next year ala John, a great ride to the sunset.

If he wins 2 in a row he's definitely going to retire no matter how healthy he is, my gut feeling says so.

Oh absolutely, if he doesn't win next year will he have one last go though?

Probably depends on what happens Sunday, you can't see someone like Manning being happy with just 1 ring. No doubt matching Brady's 3 is high on his agenda :)

    My man! Hope you're right.

The team with most momentum often wins, unfortunately that's Denver. The Seahawks gameplan is pretty simple imo, keep running it and wear them down, keep Manning off the field as long as possible, hope Harvin has an impact, use Baldwin as he's hot and the front 7 need to get to Manning. The things they have control over, they need to get right, because the Bronco's will score, they just need to limit it to 25 or less to stand a chance imo.

Ah, Feb. 2nd...the Seahawks will need a Groundhog Day from Lynch to win by it will only happen if they can force Denver out of 8-in-the-box schemes. This is where little-used Harvin becomes important. In a way, it was fortunate Harvin was knocked out of most of the NO game and all of the Niners game. Denver may not know as well how Harvin will be used. If this edge helps Seattle into the mid-20's or better on the scoreboard, then they can win. I'll go Hawks 31-28!

As a Seattle guy I think we are going to be 0-2 in SBs. All you need is to score 1 pt over the other team. Manning does not need 4 TD passes to do the job, I see it coming down to a Denver FG for the win.

    Off-topic?

If the Seahawks (Russell Wilson) win, will it debunk the notion that today's QBs standard height should be at 6' 4'' (Vantage point as it was once covered in 60 minutes)?

I presume you meant Mr. Unitas, sir. I just ogle with a goggle at Google in the interweblinkednet and it reads 6' 1'' (in those days...)., still a lot taller than Russell. I'm, personally at 1.81 metre/181 cm.

Nope, "Johnny Football" is the nickname of the Heisman '12 winner Johnny Manziel, who has declared for the '14NFL draft and may be the top pick according to experts surveying the crops. He would be a natural fit in Houston, having played at Texas A&M, and they desperately need an upgrade at QB.

Ok, but in the meantime, I hope Luck and Griffin would still be (perhaps SB) relevant in 3-4 years time.

Luck is the real deal; RG3 not so much right now but we'll see. The QB role is morphing so much right now...you can put more mobile athletes at the position and they can beat you with their legs as well as their arms. Kaepernick and Wilson are proving it!

Not even close (score)! But you were right on the money with Harvin! Whew, after the ninth straight year of rooting for the Seahawks, they delivered.

The seahawks are fake illegitimate champions. Two horrendous calls by the officials this year tilted the balance of power away from SF.

Down with seattle, down with carroll, down with PED cheating defense. Niner Empire for life!!!!

Still sore about Kaepernick morphing from Superman to Sanchez in one half??? You would have been in the SB except for the fumble and those costly picks.

I am sore about the ahmad brooks sack of brees in NO costing us the game.

That cost us home field advantage.

I am sore about the refs blowing call after call in the nfc title game.

I am sore about the seahawks 7 PED suspensions is a game that is decided by inches.

    Yes, I am sore.

    Empire.

Pretty pleased looking back at those predictions! Was just a bit off with the Seahawks needing to keep the Broncos below 25 though. Should of gone with 40 ;-)

pretty difficult time for sports fans, cricket, premier league, davis cup on 3 continents and Superbowl.

What a great defensive effort by Seattle!

Manning will be back, he got shutdown & will want another crack.

sorry for SF 7 fans as they had a real shot but winners are grinners!
