I know it's a month away but it's the next big event on the schedule and the Masters 1000 event that get's the summer hard court season kicked off so a month of casual discussion leading up to it might not hurt.

Novak Djokovic is the 2-time defending champion and holder of 3 titles overall. Andy Murray won the title in consecutive years before that.

Some questions going into the event:

Can Djokovic three-peat on his favourite surface?

Can Federer and/or Nadal come back from crushing defeats at Wimbledon and do well to kick start their summer hard court swing?

Can Raonic finally break through and win the first big title of his career in his home country?

    Looking forward to it!

Andy will repeat on this one, no doubt about it.

Raonic will disappoint by choking in the QF again.

    Federer to Roger it.

I cant see anything other than a Murray - Djokovic final. Actually, that will probably be the final we see until the Australian Open of next year lol

Sort of off topic question for you guys: Of all the Masters 1000 tournaments - obviously outside the 3 clay court ones - which has the fastest court surface? I've often heard Cincinnati but I've also heard Bercy has the fastest, due to the indoor facility.

Last year was exceptional due to the Olympics, but everyone except Nole pretty much tanked the Rogers Cup. It won't be as bad this year, but I still feel that guys in back to back Masters 1000 events pick a favorite and go for one or the other. Federer probably has in his mind Cincinnati, while Novak wants to defend his Rogers Cup points. I'm not sure about the rest.

Well, Federer has barely played this year and needs all the points he can get. I predict at least a SF for him at Rogers Cup.

    Isn't Djokovic the defending champion?

No Olympics this year to water down the field so the Montreal fans should get a good one! Let's hope lingering injuries have enough time to heal (Nadal, JMDP, Tsonga).

Djokovic played lights out in that final last year, even with the disappointment of Wimbledon + the Olympics. Son of God for another hat trick.

I think he/she was talking about the Wimbledon, Canada "double", but I could be wrong.

Do you guys think someone can pull off the Canada/Cincinnati/US Open triple this year?
