A bit more than a 5 o'clock shadow on Simon in Nice at the moment. I hope this means he's growing back his Wolverine beard for the French. If he does...watch out. :)

No, the weather has been worse than usual in Paris, much colder.

The weather here has been sh*tty for weeks now. I've never seen such a cold month of May in Paris. Today was the first time I saw the sun since two weeks ago.

And no improvement is forecast for the upcoming days.

Federer should be the favorite based on the threads prophesizing his victory in Paris.

    The forecast is horrible!

Better postpone the tournament by a week or two.

Not that it matters, I just wanted to see if Berdych lands in Federer's quarter. Cause as sure as hell Nadal will be kept as far from Djokovic as possible.

Yeah, I was hoping that Federer and Nadal would be the third and fourth seeds, however, with Murray out, that hope is dashed. del Potro is one less big-hitter to worry about now, but Berdych is probably the most threatening QF opponent (to anyone, really).

Wouldn't Murray's absence give Federer the second seed and Nadal the third?

Djokovic. You can see my Borg-McEnroe comparison on another thread. Nadal's on the way down and is about to be surprised.

    Nole for the win.

Gods know Djokovic deserves RG. Why? If Federer, who never mastered Nadal and still struggles against him, managed to get hold of the Roland Garros in 2009, then Djokovic, owing to his recent wins against Nadal, for sure deserves it more than Federer.

P.S.> This is coming from a huge Federer fan.

Translation: I don't want Nadal to win anymore slams therefore getting closer to my idol's slam count, so I want Cvac to do the dirty work for me and stop him from doing so.

P.S. No one "deserves" to win squat.

i see your point, HOWEVER, Rafa is not the only player at Roland Garros... There are a number of them who could beat, and have beaten, Djokovic...

I see the #1 seed Bogomolov Jr. lost in the Qualifying tournament and Jiri Vesely is still alive. It would be fun for him to make a little splash this year.

Djokovic is a huge underperformer and underachiever at RG thus far. From 2009-2011 he lost in bad and upset losses (the Federer loss in 2011 being the most acceptable) in each. 2009 and 2011 were both HUGE chances to win the title which he blew.

Where this man falls in the draw will be a huge factor in terms of predicting the eventual winner, he is the only man in history to have taken Nadal to 5 sets at the French Open.

Put djoker in nadas draw--come on frenchies if nadal wins for the eighth time it would be shame for RG for making tailor made courts for him

Owing to the slowing of courts Murray has only one slam title to his name which came at the expense of an extremely gruelling last-man-standing 5 set match and the further aggravation of a career threatening injury.
And how many slams have eluded Federer for the dumbing down of surfaces?

Will all this bad weather help Djokovic win RG? Nadal only plays well when the sun is shining. Heavy and soaked conditions help Djokovic deal with Nadal's heavy topspin.
