Simon proved why the french fail as much as they do.

I watched it, Federer played his best level since last year..pushing simon all over the place, drop shots, slices, most first serves in..it was pretty amazing 1hr 2mins of tennis..hardly a shank to be seen, plenty of pace on groundstrokes,

    yeah..vamos.

Sounds like Rog is GOATing. Probably in the hope of avoiding bakery products in the final...

Why would he want to avoid bageling or breadsticking Nadal or Djokovic in the final?

Was hoping to read the summary of the match in the Federer-Simon thread, but some clown deleted it. Unreal.

Never count Roger out completely. You never know which version of Federer will show up these days but if he shows up on fire, he can still beat anybody. Pretty good for a 31 year old.

And Paire goes through with the loss of one game. Surely once Fed gets past JJ he's a lock in the final? I mean last time Fed played Paire in the AO, the Frenchman started to tank in the 3rd set, even Paire said himself he's out of sorts against Fed.

He won't be bageling of breadsticking Nadal. Nadal will be served bakery produc by Djokovic in the semi after Nadal walks over his pal Ferrer.

Simon was weak yesterday. Let's see today, this JJ might be a real test.

Yes but I suppose that's what happens when you get the easy draw. It balances out if Djoker and Nadal has to battle it out in the afternoon, while Fed gets a walkover over Paire. The finalists will be fresh on the next day.

Ferrer is GOATing at the moment... He's a lot more aggressive than Rafa. So intense.

Will it be enough? Up a break in the 2nd, serving at 2-0 having lost the first set. 4-6.

    This is amazing!

Ferrer up another break, 4-0 against Nadal... Could he bagel the greatest clay courter eva?

    SUCH a beast...

Rafa just kicked it into a new gear those last few games. What a clay exhibition he is sliding side to side.

We are underestimating how good federer is on clay.

I say he is stronger on clay than hard courts where he did not have competition until djokovic and Murray. And very unlucky to be in same era with Nadal on clay.

Both federer and Nadal loves slow organic courts with uncertain bounce, clay and practically-clay-court-by-2nd-week, so called "modern" grass court.
