unreal. It's not like he's playing bad either.
Naah....Berdych is Lurch! Delpo for sure Herman! That Frankenstein eyebrow all he way.
well.. guess that's 8 lost finals for Benneteau now. Can't blame him for this one though, he can't play much better.
C'mon julien... get back into this!
Delpo's BH has impressed me the most this week. We all know how dangerous his FH can be, but his BH has been really solid all week.
JB getting his but kicked on 2nd serve points......playing even everywhere else but that's killing him.
Delpo misses two drop shots in a row.
Damn this sucks, sports are cruel. Why can't Benneteau just win a 250 already? How hard can it be if he keeps on playing like this?
Can see delPo in top 4 by year end. Which is a bit premature.
But can see him winning one if IW/Miami or...maybe MC? And getting to the final of a grand slam this year.
He is very good but I think he comes short in terms of movement. That's probably why he can't beat Ferrer, he hits great angles and exploits Delpo's movement.
He is who he is........doesn't have the consistent firepower to get by multiple top 10 players in a row.......playing like this he has a shot this year to maybe get one.
Yup. Some good consistency, but also some big clutch winners on that side.
i really think julien needs to mix things up... try coming in, slicing or doing something. this opportunity is running away from him...
he came in, and it worked!
OMG - JMDP has a nosebleed ...?
Yeah but come on, there are lots of tournaments with weak draws, which would increase his chance. Robin Haase has won Kitzbuhel twice in a row and Benneteau is at least just as good as Haase.
Getting too nervous to serve for the title.
good fight by Benneteau!
isnt amsterdam a fairly low lying country??
Really!!!!! If one wouldn't keep sticking his fingers up there it won't do that
Haha he's going to play with a plug up his nose?
No I agree......just bad luck at times. JB playing his best tennis (he was doing excellent last spring as well until he fell at Monaco). Continues to Play like this and he should be able to pull one out.
Congrats to Delpo!
Well done Delpo, it's always nice to see him win something with all the effort he puts in. Unlucky for Benny, but Delpo was just simply too good today.
delpo wins... really good performance by julien, but missed his opportunity in the tie break and couldn't break in the 2nd.
Any Dutch guys watching Krajicek give this speech?.. he's not too good at it
Benneteaus record just got worse. Nice win delpo.
Benneteau has a good sense of humor
He looks and sounds nervous.
Holy crap......fireworks and streamers........Mardi Gras was last week guys!
Naw he is doing fine......Super nice win for Delpo - seems like he wants to open the bottle with Delpo and have a go at it now.
how old is Julien ? can he still win a singles title or time running out on him ?
But Haasi, who is also in a final today, is 34.
Picked delpo to win the tournament from the start but ironically didn't see any of the tournament. How well was he playing?
Serving wonderfully. Seems to have a lot of the confidence back that appeared to have left him during AO time.
This is just the start of a busy time for him - he's supposed to be competing in Marseilles, Dubai, IW, and Miami. So I hope he doesn't burn himself out or overfatigue before he has a chance to achieve whatever his ranking goals are for this part of the season.
thank you. Good to hear. I did think playing indoors would help him get into his groove again. hope he doesn't burn out like you said. maybe he should concentrate on dubai and the masters.
was painting the lines... very impressive. it is a testament to Julien that he broke him twice and gave him a good fight.
Painting lines, hitting clean as a sheet, good shots right at Julien's feet, great aggression, lots of winners.
feel sorry for Julien...
Del Potter for the win! He needs to bring this kind of form to the slams.
Benny better win a title one day....maybe in Metz or Lion.
Julien's thoughts on the match...
Understandably he is very disappointed.
