Expect Murray to self destruct at key points. Djokovic in 4 max.

Even Sean Connery can't help the royal family clown now.

Djoko all the way (but of course hats off to Murray if he manages the home win, it's just that I prefer Djoko).

Please god, don't let Bartoli win. That would be brutal. As for this match, I said Novak in 5. I think Novak is just mentally tougher than Murray and will get it done in the more crucial moments. Novak is a machine. He'll be fine with a day off.

Djoko beating everyone who had previously defeated him on grass

This match will be good for my heart after the two semis. I'll be happy if either of them win...

I just hope Djoko isn't totally gassed from the semi and gives us a good match

Have you heard about that shoe business? W demanded Djoko changed his shoes just before semi? Supposedly gave him an unfair advantage in movement??? Rofl at Wimby trying to sabotage Nole's footwork just before D Day...

Yes, I'm really hoping for the final of the century. Hope Djoko can bring the heat twice in a row. Murray will remember his Olympic win on the same court last year + all the support, that will definitely help him.

Andy will serve lights out, I have no doubt. He' s lived the last few months for this moment. He's gonna bring the goods. Novak is the challenger in this match imo. 1st grass final for him since 2011.

The thing is that even against low ranked players, he struggled so I don't think he deserves this slam. And I am not his hater. My heart says Novak but sadly my mind says Murray. Because I know Novak will lose his temper in front of obnoxious crowd just like he did against Madrid crowd. :(

For the fifth time since the turn of the century we have an Andy in the final, but this time I'm rooting for it.

If you win seven best of five set matches over the course of two weeks, then you deserve the Slam (barring any retirements or anything like that of course). If he beats Novak he deserves it, don't know what you're on about.

I only won 6 five set matches over the course of two weeks so I've yet to win a Slam.

Hopefully this will be a much better match than the AO Final this year, its grass so that should help reduce the monotonous grinding of these two. Hoping for Andy to make history!

But he's totally prepared for it this time. He knows exactly what it will be like. He just HAS TO toughen it up (use his experience in DC). I know it's gonna be tricky though, people shouting while he's serving and stuff, I expect the worst (you ever watched soccer matches involving England? Then you know what I mean...)
All this will make it even more worthwhile if he finds a way to win though.

Murray knows what to expect from Novak. He will come in to play unlike the performances he had the last few rounds.

Sunday....I don't want both of them to win....but for the British sake Murray should win. I doubt Britain will have another great player for a decade or so.

Yeah it's not like they suddenly made a new rule, it was existing and Novak flounced it. Right decision if you ask me.

IF there is any such rule, W officials have full responsibility to enforce it from the start, not come up with that stuff just before major semi. Timing is a bit too coincidental it seems...

The British Empire will do anything and The F1Bob means anything...to make Murray win Wimbledon.

Seriously though, what a dumb and pathetic rule they applied there.

The blow your brains out from boredom final is upon the tennis world. Get ready for a beating from Novak or a 7 hour pushfest complete with dinks, drops and grunts on 70mph second serves. Come one come all for a front row seat to the destruction of tennis as a watchable sport. See Miss Judy Murray at the ticket counter for your free bullhorn to blast during Djokovic unforced errors.

I disagree. Novak is the only Wimbledon champion going into the match and the only, and current, World No. 1. He is the better player and the favorite.

Bottom line - if Novak plays his best game, he wins. Doesn't matter who the opponent is or where they're playing.

I think it will be a great match. Murray could win, but I don't expect him to. I think Djoker won his toughest match today.

My ideal final? Why one just occured this afternoon, the semifinal that was far and away the more entertaining of the two matches- djoker delpo. Ball bashing, shot variation, nobody grimacing in pain when their opponent hit a winner to take away the beauty of the point. Nobody screaming at themselves. Murray's WTA playing style is about as fun to watch as well, the WTA.

I hope this match is better than their last two slam finals. This is by far my least favorite match-up among the big four. Djokovic-Federer, Djokovic-Nadal, and Federer-Murray are great rivalries with very good matches, but when these two play each other, their level just drops. Nothing but errors and tentative rallies with no one dictating play.

To be honest, neither a Djoko nor a Murray win will help Rafa's ranking prospects. A Djoko win would consolidate him at #1 (he will gain points from last year just by making the final) and a Murray win will consolidate him at #2 (the extra points would replace the Olympics points he's gonna lose soon). None of this beneficial to Rafa except that Djoko is obviously a more difficult matchup for him, so fair enough that a lot of Rafa fans choose to go with the lesser threat to Rafa's game.

I didn't actually see that one. Nor the final. I only stayed up for the other semi and was sorely disappointed after an inspiring first set.

I guess that means there's some hope for this final, then.

Although it looks like that on Sunday greater pressure will be on Nole (because of the crowd), i think that everyone is overlooking the heavy burden of British expectations on Murrays back.

Journalists just need to produce enough of "first-GB-Wimbledon-after-xx-years" hype, and Murray is finished before the match even starts

Murray in 4. Who cares about nadal? He's officially irrelevant in every tournament other than clay court season. It's the Murray/Djokovic show these days with a glimmer of hope for Roger.

Yeah, there are several ways to view things. #1 doesn't mean much because Djoko hasn't maintained that ranking thanks to grass points. On this particular surface, Murray outperforms Novak whether we consider winning %, # of titles or most recent results (this will become even more comprehensive if Murray wins the final). IF Djoko wins W by beating Murray, then things will look different but until he does it, I consider Murray has a slight surface edge and also a psy edge due to home crowd support.

Despite not being impressed with Murray's play this event I have a strong feeling he is going to win. Del Potro nearly beat Djokovic, and Murray is easily a better grass courter than him. I always sort of felt Murray was a better grass courter than Djokovic too, and his performances last year confirmed that for me, even though he didnt win Wimbledon. It still could go either way, but I would pick Murray if forced to put money on the outcome.

I also think Murray will be a bit fresher for the final. His match today was really alot of short points with JJ either hitting quick winners or errors, and even alot of aces and service winners from Murray. Nothing like the physical Del Potro-Djokovic grind. The crowd will be brutal and do their part to help Murray win if need be too, including mocking and harassing Djokovic if needed. He is not a fan favorite in the least anywhere in the World really, so being in Murray's home country there wont be any torn allegiances unlike last years final.
