Federer is NEVER a factor of how well Nadal does. Only if Nadal wins the WTF could you say Federer's decline aided him. Anywhere else, LOL!

Trolling used to be funny, now it's just obnoxious. And I know you just feed off that, but it's still pretty pathetic.

Djokovic just won 3 straight trophies, what are you talking about? Murray has been here for the majority of this year, let's not act like he's missed the entire season. And Federer hasn't been a problem for Nadal for over half a decade now.

Do you actually watch tennis or do you spend all your time writing ignorant hate comments about Nadal?

Yep. Or another way of expressing it could be that Nadal gained a measly total of 10 points from 2 Grand Slam tournaments and somehow still managed to finish as #YE 1. That has got to be unprecedented.

Nadal #1 in 2008, 2010 and now 2013. Dominated prime Federer, Murray and Djokovic for his slams :)

Well Nadal has been winning atleast a slam every year since 2005, so prime Federer did not stop him from winning slams. Nadal then won a slam on every surface, by beating Federer in every final, when Federer was only 26/27, younger than the so called early peaking Nadal is now.

NID. Well done maestro! Rafa will win his 3 RR matches and qualify first of his group. Actually, as I said before I have a warm fuzzy feeling about this WTF. The only guy that COULD bother Rafa is Novak and Novak has a tough draw on top of 3 consecutive titles (he's got to lose a match sooner or later). This is your year Rafa: ace it! (nobody has ever won 5 master titles + WTF in the same season, Rafa would make the record book again, neither the first nor the last time for sure).

2008 Prime Federer? 2011 was Prime djokovic, howd that go for him? And Nadal hasn't even faced murray since 2011... So he hasnt faced him since he has improved.

Not taking anything away from him, but your sentence is out of line, he did not dominate those three at their primes for his 3 #1 year end ranking.

Still congrats to nadal on the year end #1. Very smart move skipping aussie and playing those lesser tournaments to ease him back into it, both physically and mentally to give him confidence that his knee was ok to play,.

Agreed with most of your post.

In all fairness, none of Murray/Federer/DJokovic/Nadal have dominated another when both in their prime. When Federer was in his prime, him and Nadal were quite evenly matched. Murrya/Djokovic/Nadal have been pretty evenly matched the past years.

Yes, 2008 prime Federer. Djokovic's prime only lasted 1 year (2011)? Wow, that's good to know

Federer's mono in 2008 put a premature end to his prime which lasted from mid-2003 till 2007, with 2005 and 2006 being his "peak" years.

Sure it did, buddy, sure it did. Don't waste your time with me though, I'm sure you have threads to visit and call Nadal (sorry, ****** for you) a moonballer and who knows what else. Don't let me keep you away from those important matters.

Really pathetic match from Wawrinka. He was the better player in every aspect of the game, the match should have finished 63-64 for Wawrinka at worst, but he managed to choke so badly and lose in two TBs. He would make Almagro proud. It was just sickening to watch this match today. Nadal didn't do absolutely anything.

On top of all this, if you add the first match which was just handed to Nadal by a lapdog giving halfassed effort, and a fact that the last RR match is played vs Berdych of all people, this tournament is really a joke.

LOL! Did you even see the match? Or this is just the regular sobbing you do here everyday?!

Rafa was serving for first set at 5-4. An Rafa was up 4-1 in second set. Wawrinka was the one coming from behind in each, and was never leading!

So you accept that Wawrinka was the better player throughout against Djoko in AO & USO. So Stan should have won! Djoker was lucky, no?

nadal won a total of 80 points in the match 45 of which came from stans unforced errors.stan won 83 points of which 25 were nadals unforced errors.nadal hit 14 winners and stan hit 30.nadal only won because stan missed too much.

  34. That means Nadal played better. You know who misses a lot as well? Amateurs.

If you can play pro tennis and make a small amount of errors, you are better...

It's interesting with both Wawa and the Bird have horrifically awful win rates again Nadal, yet on paper the matches seems pretty tight. You'd think with all the 51%/49% sets they lose the problem is more mental than physical.

Stan is getting better though. Was lagging in both sets, yet was able to push both to tiebreaks. Now he just needs to learn how to hold leads.

So what do we make of this result? Wawrinka has lost the last 26 sets against Nadal, more than any spanish lapdog. Does Wawrinka bend over for Nadal?

And I'm talking as well about your categorical statement of "only won because Stan missed too much". Nadal missed a lot too, and he won. I wouldn't have a beef if Wawrinka has beaten Rafa a few times.

But to say that Rafa only won because of Stan missing is implying that Rafa did not have a say in the match.
All I'm saying is, if somebody wins, just congratulate the guy and stop making excuses for the one who lost.

Yes he did and Stan was the one bringing the attacking tennis on the day.

Capy just remained calm and let Stan beat himself up.

Indoor was waw's chance to beat rafa.

  44. I was at this match. Stan was unlucky considering he won 4 more points.

Also happy Stan confronted Rafa about the coaching. Rafa and Toni went too far in this match.
