Why no thread for this yet? Nobody cares about this matchup or something?

It's a shankfest so far, Cilic up 4-2 in the 1st.

5-2 Cilic. Berdych has had four service games, broken himself three times with two DF on break points! Absolutely cannot find the court so far.

Berdy looks very stiff and uncomfortable right now. Hitting nice FH's though. Cilic serving decently.

Even USTA doesn't care. Roger Berdych?

Yeah I get the feeling Cilic has figured out that Berdych is going to beat himself, all he needs to do is serve well as long as this continues.

First set 6-2, and Berdych with 4 winners, 13 errors. That won't win him anything but a quick exit.

Not bad, 100% first serves if you add up the two of them ;)

Someone needs to tell Birdman that he's not playing Nadal...

Wow Berdych is playing embarrassingly bad, <40% 1st percentage, 4 double faults 15 unforced errors to only 4 winners. Is he even trying?

I love the announcers saying he's 'struggling a bit', 'not quite finding his way yet', looking for any turn of phrase to not say he's completely embarrassing himself.

LOL. Birdman is playing like a random rookie. Looks like he has forgotten how to Tennis
Cilic will get this over in straights. It's really ugly out there.

Berdych is playing like Bird ****!

He was defeated in straights in Wimbledon and now US open!

And this same Cilic will fade like nothing when pitted against Fed!!

No surprise. Cilic has way too much firepower for the less talented Birdshit.

Did Berdych just serve some sort of secret 8 game suspension for taking an advil and drinking a diet coke? Hope he pulls something together or this will be bad news for SDL.

Roffle. Is that why Berdych has been in the Top 10 since July 2010 while Cilic dropped out of the Top 10 earlier that year and hasn't been back since?

Such a tough draw for Federer. Matosevic, Groth, Granollers, Bautista Agut . Then to top it all off, Monfils and Cilic. Is the world against Federer these days?

Yeah if only Monfils was injured and Djokovic exhausted from an epic 5 setter semi then it would be about as easy as what Nadal had in 2010 and 2013. Why can't Federer be so lucky like Nadal?

Actually sorry but Fed's draw can't possibly be as easy as Nadal's 2010 draw. Cilic would have to age 5 years, play 6 hour match vs Berdych, be completely mentally and physically drained and lose most of his power. Same with Monfils.

Nadal beat his toughest ever rival Djokovic, on his favorite surface in both the finals of USO.
When was the last time Federer beat Nadal on his favorite surface (Clay) in Slams? That's right, never! In fact, how many times has Federer beaten Nadal in a Slam final? Once when he was 20 and 21, on Grass alone?

    Lame fanboy gonna fanboy!

The hell are you talking about?

Nadal is injuried or what the hell his problem is, he wasn't able to meet murray, he cant meet nole before the final, so those are the alternitives he has to meet. stop being an idiot. Federer is too dominant and thats why he makes everything seem easy against these guys hence ''cakewalk'' talk.

    FEDERER FOR THE #18, GOAT!

Unfortunately Nadal didn't have to play 4-5 hour 5-set SF matches the round before like Novak did in 2010 against Federer and 2013 against Wawrink before facing Federer.

I'll buy your statement if Federer makes the final and Novak isn't on the other side of the net. :)

^^How does a match between Cilic vs Berdych become about Nadal and Federer?

And whose fault is it, that Djoko loves playing marathon SFs?

Federer did get Nadal in AO 2009 final, after the latter had a marathon SF. Guess what, he still couldn't beat him.
Federer also got Murray in USO 2008 final, after the latter had a marathon SF against Nadal, which was played on 2 days.

Do i need to look into history and jot down a McEnroeisabkcbdcbalna type of list of all of the opponents Fed faced in the finals, who had a marathon SF? Lol.

Would be nice if these two remembered that they're meant to be playing tennis AT THE SAME TIME.
