cause its so ugly it will kill future sales? Kind of like no allowing bad movies to be screened for critics before it's released to avoid the backlash

This is it. I can confirm this after speaking to a Wilson rep today and holding the frames in my hands. They look awesome in my opinion. They're like a fusion of the current pj and the n-code, which in my opinion was the best looking aesthetically. Very excited for this!!

Sorry, but I still don't like a bright white frame carrying the name "Pro Staff". (it goes for the current bloody q-tip looking frame as well)

It should be dark and subtle, not bright and "LOOK AT ME!"

C'mon. The lines next to the PWS aren't even straight.. They could have at least taken a few extra minutes to make it symmetrical.

With braided graphite and Kevlar, a subpar paintjob can be forgiven.

Not a nice design at all. Even the BLX 90 which i dont really like, looks much nicer. Really looks like a white red lollipop.

IMO, the nicest Paintjobs for the 90 are

    1) Ncode
    2) Pro staff tour 90 (black & yellow) and current pro staff 90 (white & red).
    3) K factor
    4) blx 90

    ...

    5) 2014 ps 90.

Looks like one of those cheap beginner racquets you find at Big 5 for $29.99.

Ok, here's what I imagine might have happened:

It was "take your kids to work" day at the design studio, and they were all having a good time.
One of the kids drew a racquet - "look, I made a racquet, just like daddy!"
Then another kid came up with a red pencil and colored parts of the racquet.
Then another kid drew some lines on the PWS.

Meanwhile, in the lunch room the employees were also celebrating a co-worker's birthday; there was cake and champagne everywhere!
A kid brings the drawing in the room, and shows it off: "look mommy, we designed a racquet!".
The mommy takes it in her hand and goes "Awww sweetie, that is so cute! You kids will be great designers too one day!"
After the kid leaves the room, they all start laughing; "That things is FUGLY! Take it away, take it away!"
They throw it in a corner.

Cut out to 9 PM, 3 guys left in the room trying to finish the last bottle of champagne.
One of them looks kind of like Peter Griffin; he says: "Hey guys, guys, check it out, I'm going to write our logo on the snowy-white of this racquet drawing!"
And so he does, and even though he must have been really drunk, his aim was surprisingly good, for the yellow-gold lettering came out on the racquet just perfect.

Later on, the night cleaning crew came in, and one of them stumbled onto the drawing of the racquet.
As it was done on the same paper they used for all their designs, one of the cleaners assumed it was a real design that had gotten misplaced.
So he put it on top of the pile of new PJs that was supposed to be sent to the factory soon.

A few days later, the guys at the factory in China receive their mail.
"What is this?!? It looks like sh*t and smells like p*ss! Is this for real???"
"Look, it is not our job to question those crazy Americans; if this is what they want, this is what we'll manufacture".

Long story short, a few weeks later, the CEO back at headquarters was staring at a warehouse full of these racquets, waiting to be shipped around the world.
What was he supposed to do???
    What would Homer do?

Disclaimer: This fictional story is for entertainment purposes only. Any similarity with real events, persons, or racquets is purely coincidental.

You guys haven't even seen the racquet in person and you're already criticizing it. Jeez, the same thing happened when the K-Factor lineup was announced.

Yes, I think the K-Factor 90 looks even worse in person than how terrible it looked in the preview pics.

Don't like it... (disclaimer: haven't seen it in person). Perhaps the braided graphite/kevlar will be good enough consolation

    I'll add:

*Tennis fans/players not knowing Fed will be using that PJ's reaction*
    That's just ugly, why?!

*Tennis fans/players not caring what Fed uses' reaction*
    That's just ugly, why?!

    Fanboy/girls/impersonator reacting to the PJ*
Time to use up my allowance and I predict a calendar year Slam now that it's got "Kevlar".

The least they could do is to make it straight...

But again, all will be forgiven if it's braided graphite and kevlar.

Yes, back in the 80ies many rackets had sparkling pjs. Back then, pj quality looked universally better too, imho.

In all fairness, we should probably reserve judgement until we get to see the actual racquet, or at least some better pics of it.
Chances are, it won't look quite as hideous as the above picture suggests.

At the very least, the colors should be better than that.
I wonder whether they will use the same paint as for the current model (matte white + glossy red).

I think the worst aspect of this design is the yellow/golden lettering and stripes.
If they just used black, it would have looked so much better (less bad).

Oh my goodness, it really does say "Braided Graphite and Kelvar". Will they release the actual composition? I'd like one in the 80% graphite/20% kelvar please, just like the 6.0 85.

And it looks like we have an all-matte paintjob again! :)

Ok, most of the silliness has been forgiven. Not sure how my BLX90 will react to this news. :(

Off topic, but those Prince racquets are GORGEOUS! I like the simplicity like the olden days.

Graphite and the Response look good to me.

They can put marshmellows into the frame as long as it's got kevlar in there.
