Running around my backhand? I am right handed. So do you mean, me hitting a forehand to my opponent's backhand (assume he is also right handed) from my backhand side court (is it Ad court?). If I hit a forehand from right corner of my court to forehand side of my opponent, is it called outside in shot? Does cross court shots include this inside out shot? Why am I so ignorant...

    Thanks Kreative!

Running around anything is moving your feet in an arc around the ball. If the ball was suspended in mid air and you were ready to hit a backhand, you would run around or make a C pattern or an arc pattern around the ball and position yourself in a 45 degeee angle to hit the ball.

If you were on the ad side of the court and it was coming to your backhand side (it s not a wide ball) if you made an arc around the ball, your best and natural shot would be to your opponents ad court. As your body will be facing this way.
