    Hi,

I just strung my racket freshly with Luxilon 4G at 55 lbs. Measuring the tension loss with RacketTune, I found that is seems to lost about 1.5 pounds per day. It started reading 55.9, and two days later it's now reading 53.1.

Is this a normal rate of tension loss? I thought 4G was supposed to have superior tension holding properties. Or is that just marketing BS?

    Any input would be welcome.

That's actually awesome for a poly or any type of string for that matter. 2 lbs loss in 2 days is extremely good.

Aha. Thanks. I have zero experience in this, so I don't know what to expect. Does the rate of loss eventually level out?

FWIW, this is 4G at 1.25mm. Racket is a Wilson Steam 99 (non S). I plan to try hybrid in this racket next time and see how that works out.

    That's excellent tension maintenance.
