What Rafa has shown the world today is that no matter how bad your situation is, you ALWAYS have to keep on fighting to the end....

What Rafa has done today can be applied for life at any particular situation when things are not looking good

Well done Rafa, never give up.....

he might not be as talented as some other players out there but you have to admit that no one has his ATTITUDE....

That's his design for life... NEVER GIVE UP.....

i think Rafa has rejuvunated the tennis all together, tennis slipping into boredom when Agassi retired and Fed isn't exactly the most exciting player to watch, although his shotmaking is pretty amazing. Fed need a signature pump up or Cmons. He need something like super flip or summersult after each winning point and so on.

I agree. Nadal stepping up and Fed slipping a bit has made the competition tougher. Alot of contenders will be at the French. Nadal, Fed, Gonzo, Davydenko, Canas, Joker. It's going to be exciting stuff. Also that exhibition on half clay, half grass gave tennis alot of publicity because people in my neighborhood are talking about it and they don't even watch tennis. Let's hope the Nadal Fed rivalry last for many more years.

    In an in between place.

    I hope that was sarcasm.

Rafa is a tennis player alright. A damn good one with a great attitude but lets not make a tennis match into something its not. He's a great clay-courter, maybe the best ever, his opponent was tough, he fought through it. That's all, it's not a metaphor for life.

On the contrary I think Nadal's lifestyle is a metaphor for life. His self discipline is incredible. In a world whereby "can't" is the operative word: can't keep on a diet, can't give up smoking, can't stop drinking and so on he is a brilliant example about what you CAN do when all the odds are against you - on top of that he seems a very pleasant person

It's a person's own decision if someone will be an inspiration to him/her and his/her life. Nadal as a tennis player symbolizes the will to succeed, the lack of fear (choking) and that no one should give up on something they want because nothing is over till it's really over.
For you he could be an ass picking Spaniard.

Somehow I can´t understand why edmonds would try to turn a positive thing into something negative. That´s not like him. That´s the type of stuff Vive or fedfanatic says.

Right! Actually, this post also doesn;t seem to be what it is.
It actually is a typically case of "I lick yours, you lick mine" crap talk of nadal fans. Pat your own butt and feel happy .....

Tomorrow he will show us that no matter how good things are, keep on fighting til the end. Then the next day he'll show us that no matter what, keep on fighting til the end. You get the point.
