Okay, so you know how in a topspin serve you toss a bit to your left... I found out that it forces me to have one shoulder over the other during the serve (well, not really, but it sure feels that way). So I was wondering, am I supposed to be hitting with this kind of motion for all my serves?

    Like this I mean

    shoulder
    head
    shoulder

(haha sorry for the poor illustration)

In order to generate power you will need to rotate your shoulders, if that is what you are asking.

During my serve, which is a bit extreme, I line up my feet so my back is almost parallel to and facing the net then on my swing I will rotate my body so that I end up perpendicular to the net with my right foot forward.

Hope that made some sort of sense
