No Rubin again, which isn't a big shocker to me. Kan will play 6 singles, which I think is a mistake. He is not 100%. Unfortunately, I think this will be tough for Wake

The racket technician for Wake Forest tweeted yesterday that Noah Rubin would not be playing against TCU. Interesting.

Once they held him out against UVA, I figured he'd be out until the next ACC match.

3 first sets for Wake, 2 for TCU, and #5 still going. Really surprised that Wake is up at 3 and 6. Seraphim has been pretty good all year at 5, so hopefully he can make it 4.

    GO HOKIES too!

Va Tech's only loss was against North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Their home victories include Duke, Notre Dame and Penn State.

Semenzato just choked it away - double faulted on match point - VT wins 4-1.

Wake just beat TCU 4-2, even though they are playing it out at #2. 3rd set just started. Max Kan clinched it 6-4 in the 3rd on #6. So much for my comment about him not being 100%. That is huge for Wake for him to be playing well once Rubin comes back.

hmm _UVA loss will not really hurth them, it is the best loss u can get, but it was nearly the last big chance to push their rankings into Top5,. Top3 direction? They only play UNC; Vtech, Duke as Top20 teams . And all at home, so no additional road wins. Will easily win the ACC, but thats all.

Big doubles point for Louisville. Hard to imagine two teams that are
more evenly matched in singles than Louisville and NC State

Rubin comes back and Tabrizi goes out of the line-up. Now I understand Bresky was using him as a place holder but I think he showed enough to keep a spot in the top 6 at least.

CGM takes it 20-18. Now if this was an SEC match, those two just assured that their match will not finish. But this is the ACC and a winner will be crowned.

Louisville pulls out a nice 4-3 win at NC State. I'm kinda surprised that Lippens beat Norenius.

Great LiveStats performance on that match. First it showed Lippens winning 7-6, 3-3, which implies a retirement by Norenius. Then it shows 7-6, 4-6, meaning that it is going to a third set. Then it shows 7-6, 6-4 in favor of Lippens.

It also showed that Horton was up 5-3 in the deciding set for a long time before switching it to 6-3 in favor of Simich

Boland said afterwards that they stopped AR's match as a precaution and he should be fine for next weekend.

I don't know if Wake will be a top 10 team by the time the NCAA tournament rolls around, but I know there will want to be a lot of top 10 teams that wont want to play them

Rubin will have a good chance for a big ranking boosting win Sunday vs #1 Stiefelmeyer.

Crazy that Stiefelmeyer is #1. Bogaerts handled him easily last year in the NCAA tournament. Part of me wonders if Bresky won't try to get that matchup again by switching Rubin and Bogaerts.

I think he will probably keep Rubin at 1 to give him the chance at the big win. But Bresky does like to tinker around.

Stiefelmeyer had an inspired run in Tulsa and he's kept it up in the spring. Now is he really the best player in the country? No. But he has the most quality wins out of anybody.

Saw that post about the gators chocking, it's true.....but coming from a uva fan? Uva could be the biggest chockes of them all, so much talent yet so much underachieving
