What are everyone's thoughts on the ACC awards that will be announced next week?

    My guesses:

Player of Year - Chris Eubanks - GT

Rookie of the Year - Petros Chrysochos - WFU

Coach of the Year - Hultquist - FSU or Bresky - WFU

Those are pretty good picks. Eubanks does not get enough credit.

Somewhat quietly, Eubanks has beaten Schnur, Shane, and Alvarez this year. His only conference loss was to Ben Lock (FSU). Hope I get to see him and Schnur in person later today.

Gultquist should not get coach of the year. FSU was just about what they were supposed to be this year. They are never anything special.

Yeah FSU was meh, and their loss to VT isn't going to get Hultquist COY. It probably should be Bresky - two COY awards in five years would be not too shabby

Incredible atmosphere for the Wake-UVA final. Large and vocal crowd with great coverage from ESPN3. Go Deacs!

Crazy how Wake nearly lost to Notre Dame in round 1. Needed a 3rd set buster in that one as well

I'm not sure but he did not look good in this tourney. He got blasted pretty easily by Schnur and Mansouri.

ACC Awards came out earlier today. Eubanks - POY, Chrysochos - ROY, and Bresky - COY.

Anyone know when the NCAA draw will come out? I did a light search and came up empty so I thought I'd ask the pros here.

I assume uva will get a home match or two in the first few rounds and I'd love to go watch.

I think the ACC is big 12 of last year, predicting 3 teams in the semi finals

Read on the UVA boards this morning that Ritschard will be back in the lineup for UVA. If he is truly healthy, and can shake off the rust quickly, they are definitely a better team with him at 4, JCA dropping to 5, and Henrik at 6.

I went to the uva match today, first college match in many years. Their team was just way deeper. But that no. 1 from Monmouth is a player. He and Shane were at 3 all in first set tb when the match was Finnish.

Fsu is such an underachieving program, losing to Baylor when they are giving away 5/6 is pathetic

Also amazing that UVA decides to play Richard and waste a full year of eligibility, better win it all, feel bad for the kid

Duke's women's team (ranked #9) taken out at home by Texas (ranked #24), a team that only had 5 players in September. Maybe it's bad luck (B Capra out with a season ending injury), but you can't get out to a 2 0 lead only to lose at home, when there is a 15 place differential in the team rankings. Something is not right in Durham.
With the recruiting advantage Duke has, their recent results reflect negatively on the top of the program.

You would have to possess a lot more knowledge to say that. First, Ritschard played tournaments in the fall and went 8-0. I have heard that you cannot redshirt for the spring if you play in the fall, but I have not read the rule myself.

Second, Ritschard was from Switzerland, grew up in Florida, not sure what his activity was when he arrived. I think he arrived in January two years ago and sat out that spring while getting eligibility clearance. In that case, the spring of 2014 would count as a redshirt year and you cannot redshirt again.

If he doesn't play, I think Kan will play at 6.

UNC got a local 5 star, and two foreign kids. Wonder how that will help them.
