how do the racquet companies keep their fake paint jobs straight?
Are there like little elves that run around the world and do nothing but spray paint Prestige Classics?

I've got a Korda PJ on his C10 Comp that is actually a T9-30 like this one.

That's not a T9-30. It was the TR-25 that he and many other male players used. Novotna and several females used the T9-30 which was wide body is frame in the mold of the Prince CTS style of taper

Thanks Thomas for the clarification. I know it is bright red under the black PJ. It has some small dings on the head and the red shows through.

I recently strung up some of Robin Soderling's recent coach Peter Carlssons Head racquets. I assume that this is some of Robins old frames? They were mint when I got em so I thought I would share some pictures... I didnt weigh em but they felt really light... Sorry for the bad quality, just had my mobile cam.

There is a very interesting list of racquet specs from Indian Wells on that link. I'm surprised this hasn't been discussed yet...

Yes, the SW on Soderling's stick was 384G I believe. I can't imagine what it's like to swing that around.

I got up to 360 SW at one point. My FH and my 1HBH got adjusted, but I could never adjust to the SW with my serve. I just couldn't do it.

    T-Fighter,

What is the actual weight of Sampras's frame in gr?/ How many of layers of lead tape he adds to his frame? Also, he add some pads above the throat I guess for better feel.

The paint job is a little different to the retail version of the n-code 90. The n-code signs on the pws are more matt on the Federer stick as opposed to glossy. The handle is shorter on the Fed stick and the drilling on the pws is different (4 on the Fed stick and not 5 as per the retail). The closest you can get to this paint job was the limited edition racquets that came out a couple of years ago which was identical apart from the racquet handle being the same length as the retail version. The drill spacing on the limited edition racquets are the same as the Fed stick.

There has been debate as to whether the racquet is slightly smaller (as it has been documented that it could be 88sq in.) but to my untrained eye, it looks the same to me.

    Hope this helps.

    ah. good enough for me

would you mind letting us in on how you got it :p seeing as it has a signature it gives the impression that you bought it at some auction.. but judging by the fact that you have a whole heap of other pro's sticks.. perhaps you're some pro stringer of some sort!

Most of the pictures that I posted in the first page of this thread were borrowed from The_ball_was_in, so you didn't miss much.

In the past, Safin was known to have tinkered with his racquets' weight and balance prior to the beginning of each tournament so you'll probably get a broad range of specs depending on the tournament. For example, for slow surfaces, he would add more lead tape to 12 o'clock. He would later peel some of it off and so on.

Greg Raven (who strung for many pro players) had this for Safin's racquet specs:

    Static weight: 353 grams
    Balance: 32 cm.
    Swingweight: 347

Problem is...he doesn't know what year those specs were taken.

    Check this out: http://www.hdtennis.com/grs/pro_racquet_specs/grab_bag.html

How did you get the 6.1 classics with the paint job, I would love to get my hands on a couple of those I love the old 6.1 classic and still hit with them.
