I just got my new Barricades back after the sending the warranty, it came after 4 weeks.
Anyways, the shoes I sent were the regular Black Barricade IV's but what I got back were the Adidas Barricade IV LX's

I know that they send different colors, but what's the LX mean? Do I have a different version?

woah, I just checked and it's almost 12 ounces heavier.

=[ This is NOT what I wanted, but I have matches coming up and I need decent tennis shoes anyways.

The leather is above where it says barricade on the shoe. It kinda sucks that it added a little bit of weight. :/

Wtf does leather have to do with arch support? That's ridiculous. They just did it to make it look better. Why else would they put leather on a tennis shoe?

Hey, I know that regular tennis shoes could be thrown in the washer and then dryer to clean them up. Would that be okay with the LX too? or will the leather get messed up?

I've been wearing the Barricade IVs for a long time now and have gone through several pairs. I just bought a new pair and intentionally bought the "LX" version. I was told it's a limited edition version. Same shoe - just more leather above where it says "Barricade on the side of the shoe and in the inside of the shoe. It does not add much weight, if any. It breathes just as well as the regular version only it should not break down as easily (the parts where they put in leather). In short, the added leather is supposed to be a benefit or an upgrade to the otherwise great shoe.

Surely, this is a typo right? Did you mean 1.2 ounces? The regular Barricade IV is 18.6 ounces...

Where did you get the 18.6 oz. figure? On TW, it says they are 17.8 oz., I believe. I know it's not a big difference but 18.6 just sounds so much heavier than some of the other shoes out there that are 13 or 14 oz. The funny thing is that I don't believe the BIVs feel heavy on the court. I really never think about it, which I guess is a good thing.

i dont think the lx means extra leather, from what i have read its a leather shoes vrs a synthetic leather shoe like the regular barricades....so the LX is leather and the others are not...its for people who like a "classic" shoe...
