    Has anyone used this product?

If so is it helpful at all?

Can you only use it if you buy a mi coach compatible shoe. OR will any adidas sneaker work?

I assume obviously it cannot go on your hand or on a racquet

    Some suggestions would be welcomed

    Thanks

It goes in your shoe. It only works for mi coach compatible Adidas shoes.

Actually, you can put the sensor in two ways.
You can put the sensor in mi coach compatible Adidas shoes or there is a adapter which you can out the sensor on shoe laces.

Honestly Mi coach is not a good product. I used it for a month then I stop using it nowadays. Iphone version is very poor especially app.

thanks I was thinking of getting it...I wonder why it gets so much hype...

I was mainly going to use it to track how much I run during my hitting sessions

Like others have said, it also comes in a shoelace version, which I used. You can also choose an adapter to sync with your phone (iPhone) or computer (USB).

I used it for a while when it first came out but didn't continue to use it for mutiple reasons:
    - sync was very unreliable, sometimes could not get it to sync at all
    - phone app was slow and design was awful
    - could not be sure if the stats were believable as the phone app and the web site came out with different numbers for the same sessions...
    - the "sessions" recorded by the device were usually off from my real hitting sessions (or the app was misinterpreting the data), this was a problem if you recorded a bunch of sessions and tried to reconcile them later
    - I kept the unit in my tennis bag and it would sometimes record sessions based on being carried around or perhaps vibrations from the car ride

The biggest problem is Adidas. It seems like they are not interested in support this device at all.
App is one of the worst. Could not sync for a month when I got the device because their server was down for long period of time.

Now I upgraded IPhone and need new connector to run.
It was fun for a month then I stop using this device.

As this thread seems to have concluded i'll ask something similir to what OP was looking for.

is there any device out there that people have tried and recommend for getting good stats (distance covered being the main one) while playing tennis.

Im thinking either a device for inside / outside the shoe?
    Sports Watches etc?
