has anyone actually send in their pair of adidas shoes for warranty?
i've always worn out shoes before 6 months and i never sent in a pair. so im wondering how service is.

how long does it take to come back?

what do i need to ship the shoes?

Can i exchange it for a different pair of shoes or color of the same one?

Will i be getting the exact same pair (as in new but same color/model) i send in?

    thanks for any help!

Can i exchange it for a different pair of shoes or color of the same one? From experience they just give you what you send in (send in barricades, get barricades back of same size)

Will i be getting the exact same pair (as in new but same color/model) i send in? New/Same model yes, color just depends on what they have in stock. But say you send in the IV's and they have been discontinued, you'll receive the V's.

yea it takes around 2-4 weeks to get them back. The only thing that is not certain when you get your shoes back is the color...i sent in my white, black, and the red on the tongue barricade IVs and got back the one with the lime green tongue..

I never did the Adidas return but the lady at the tennis store told me that u need to keep the receipt so you can prove you had the shoes for 6 months or less so you can get the replacement

You need the receipt and the warranty card. You can download a copy of the warranty card off the Adidas web site. Most retailers can print you a duplicate receipt if you lost the original, just ask. You also have to include a check for approx. $8 to cover return shipping and handling.

I always take my receipt, staple it to the warranty card, put them in the box and store the box. That way its easy to return a pair. Have returned Nikes, Filas and Adidas products with no problems.

I just sent in a pair of Barricade Vs the first week of December and got back a new pair in 2 weeks. Mine were the all black with lime green highlights. I included a note saying I would take another all black pair or ones with white and black, whichever they had in stock. They sent me the white/black and red ones.

I am wondering if you buy them off the Auction Site (e Bay) -- and print the winning receipt, would that work? Or does it have to be a dealer or retail store?

You have to buy them new to get the warranty. So as long as they are new from an Adidas retailer you should be fine. Problem on the bay is that you can run into folks that are reselling shoes they bought or are selling counterfeits, so some vendors won't honor that type of purchase. You can always call Adidas Customer Service and ask.

Sorry wasn't specifically singling out Barricades as potential fakes. But counterfeiting sports shoes is a huge business in China so some mfgs may not honor warranties on items off the auction sites. Best to call Adidas and ask.

    Another question:

Lets say I purchased my shoes in September, my friend purchased his in January (3 months later). He is not interested in the 6-month warranty since he's not playing much. We purchased the same size and same color of the B5's.
I kill my shoes in June, outside of my warranty, but my friend gives me his receipt with the date of January...

How would Adidas know that this happened?

just have to go through the sole that you start seeing grey that wasn't part of the outsole.

Can you direct me to this warranty card? I can't seem to find it.

Also, I haven't worn through the bottom of the shoe, but there is a large hole below the toe.. Does that qualify for warranty? (it's only been a month and a bit really, and I've only played a couple times a week.. weather isn't that nice)

There should have been a card (Warranty Card) in the box when you got the shoes...
How is there a "large hole below the toe" but the bottom is OK??? The warranty is for the soles, though...
Is your hole inside the shoe?

I didn't keep the card nor the box.

The whole is below my big toe.

Your hole in the toe qualifies as long as it is worn through the outsole and you can see the midsole material. A hole inside the shoe does not qualifiy.

You don't need the card. But you must have the original receipt or Adidas will not replace them. I always include a note that has my address on it, the problem description and the colors I would like. That way if they don't have the same color as the ones you are returning, you'll get something you like. Last time I sent in some black ones they didn't make anymore, so they sent me a pair with black and white on them since I had requested this color if they didn't have my size in all black.

Here are the instructions from Adidas:

    Adidas:

    Send adidas shoes to:

    Adidas 6 Month Guarantee
    5675 North Blackstock Road
    Spartanburg, SC 29303
    1-800-423-4327

    Please include the following:

    * Copy of original receipt
    * Note describing issue with product
    * Include Name and Return Address
    * A check for $8.30 to Adidas

Adidas shoes that have a 6 month sole guarantee are: Barricade V, IV, and Accelerators.

    Good info!
Do they specify the receipt from the Authorized dealer, or...
I got mine on E Bay...

EDIT: Never mind -- just talked to them and they said that no warranty applies to the Auction purchases...

That makes sense. They really have no way of validating the condition of the shoe if it was not sold by an authorized dealer.

If you are patient you can always find the Barricades on sale for $80 a pair especially when the model is being discontinued. Have them replaced and you are at $40 a pair which is good deal.

i bought 2 pairs at adidas outlet for 48 dollars each, becuase at about decemberish i bought some socks, and they gave me 2x 50% off coupons, that wouldn't be valid untill january or soemthing. so i was at adidas outlet in camarillo, CA. and then i saw some barricades, and i was WHOA, what the barricades in outlet?! it was on sale for 90 dollars, but i had 2x 50% off coupons so i bought the black/yellow and white/black for 48 dollars. and i kill shoes in about 1-2 months(cuz i play everydya for about 4 hours) and i run on the treadmill with them. so basically i got a pair each for 24 dollars, if i turn them in for warranty.
my biggest regret, should have bought more sock so i could have gotten more coupons and by more :\

    ***UPDATE***

I bought the B5 (NEW) on E Bay in January 2009. I went through the sole (as described in the warranty) and sent them to Adidas (June 5th) along with the Paypal/**** payment copy + $8.30 check. I also included a nice letter telling them where I got the shoes and what color I'd like as a replacement. I DID NOT expect to get the replacement at all since I got them on E Bay.
10 days later a new pair of the B5 (replacement) arrived in the mail, the color I requested.

So, eventhough the Adidas rep told me they could not accept the *Bay receipt for the replacement, they DID IT!

    Love them!

Turns out I got two pairs for $60...not bad...

This of course begs the question: did the second pair last any longer? $60 for a pair of shoes that doesn't last 6 months doesn't sound like such a great deal.
