    hi all,

I need a little advice on my serve.I am a beginner maybe level 3.I need help with my serve. If I try to follow the general advice that i should stay side on and then serve i am not able to time my hit at all.on the other hand if I step into my toss and hit( a small step with left foot and then transfer weight and hit ) then the serve is much better and effort less. Due the movement of left foot i feel sometimes i do foot faults too. Please advice.Maybe I have to cross line while serving due to not perfect toss.Since this works for me should I keep this and try working on it or should I go back to textbook style??
    Thanks for ur help.

If it works with you, stick with it as long as you're making use of your entire body when you serve, not just your arm, but your legs as well.

If you're foot faulting, you might want to practice standing farther behind the line and stepping forward to meet it.
