AeroPro vs. Pure Drive: Only difference is the "aerodynamic" neck?

    Both are wide body.

Sales guy said they're basically the same xcept for the neck shape. I am miles away from EVER having the aerodynamic effect of a racket have any consequence on my game.

But, a friend said one is actually stiffer than the other. AeroPro is more flexible than Pure Drive. Is this true?

For a weekend warrior, I bet all rackets are about the same, in the real world, and not in a lab

No, the APDGT is a bit more comfortable & flexible than the PD/PDR and the weights are different. The PD/PDR line has slightly more power.

Pick up a APDGT and PD 2012 and you will notice the difference in weight, hit with them and you will notice the difference in stiffness/comfort/feel.

Well first of all a different neck shape doesn't just affect aerodynamics. It can just as well affect weight, weight distribution, stiffness, torsion resistance etc.

A weekend warrior will absolutely find great variation between rackets - I do. To make it very clear, try a light, headheavy, oversized racket and compare it with a mid or midplus sized racket that's heavy and headlight. They feel completely different... What's best for your game is up to you personally though...

And I'll chip in the autocue comment before anyone else does: Nadal has the AeroPro, and he's better than Fabio Fognini who uses the Pure Drive...

Play with them side to side, there's a difference in feel. To me the aero feels a more solid and the puredrive has more pop.

Pure Drive = more power, stiffer, slightly less comfortable

Aeropro = more spin, more comfortable / solid feeling

I really like the Aeropro but it is on the verge of being too powerful for me. I really have to concentrate on the spin. Playing with the Pure Drive was like hanging onto a fire hose. Less spin and more power wasn't good for me.
