I just saw a notice that Agassi and Nalbandian has withdrawn from TMS Paris. That's a pity and would mean that their chances of qualifying for the Masters Cup is gone - unless some of the other already qualified top players gets sick or something?

Yes, it means the eight final places are settled, unless anyone pulls out (most likely Federer or Coria).

The lastest word from Mark Miles (St Petersburg interview) is that it's the players who need to trim their schedule...he says financial gain is a factor in the heavy schedule players set for themself.

That's good news for me, Henman had to make the quarters in Paris to get into the TMC before and that looked difficult with him having to play Srichaphan and Novak.

    Come on Tim!!

From what I understood, Coria was done for the year and that someone would have to replace him for the year-ending Masters Cup in Houston. I know that last year Mark Phillipousis was the alternate just in case someone got injured and whatnot. So hopefully Andre is the next one in to that open spot and Nalbandian will be the alternate. If they lose anyone, it will more likely be Federer than Coria. Coria seems to want to play even though he might not be 100%, and against his (now former) coach's advice.

This is not good. Agassi is hurt and so is Nalbandian. Also Federer still got that torn thigh muscle and coria as well. Man I just got tickets to this event to two night sessions. And I won't get to see either Andre or Federer :(. Boo!

Federer may have a muscle tear but I seriously doubt that he will pull out of Houston. The only guaranteed no-show would be Coria.

Nope, Federer has said he will only play if he's 100%. Coria, on the other hand, seems determined to play at any cost.

Don't scare me like that!!! It'll be such a waste of a tournament if that happens!
