I saw some pics today of the Davis Cup, and noticed that Agassi isn't using Alu, it looks like Original. I don't know how old this is, but it seemed new to me...there should be plenty of pics with this, I found some on getty.

looks to me like it very well could be alu in the mains and gut in the crosses...to me it definitely appears that the mains are darker than the crosses

In that link, isn't the strings a bit to blurry to decipher anything? I'm sure datacipher would have trouble figuring it out. Kickserve did you see a pic with his racket in a resting state? It's hard to see his strings when he's swinging his famous forehand.

yea raftermania you're probably right...from that picture it LOOKS like he has the setup i said before, but it is very difficult to tell for sure when the racquet is in motion

i would say that it was the orginal - dont think that he switched the first time to a string he has long not used - the orginal he played at the french so i think thats it;)

If I remember correctly, Agassi changes to Original to start the clay court season.

thats right. he switched to the original because the court was playing like a slow clay court. he believes you get a heavier ball and it bites a little different with the original BB. he will be back to ALU next week at IW.

No it is definately Original. It isn't gut colour or any other colour.....Lux BB Original is distinctive and I'd know because I've used it. If you don't believe me, maybe this pic will persuade you.

BTW, this shows its a recent change, because look what he was using in Dubai.....looks like K-Boom or Monogut. to me lol

there goes agassi switching strings again rabbit, do you think agassi rebalanced his stick since original weighs more than alu?!?!? sounds like desperate measures right before the clay season, if he thinks he can play like ferrero or coria on clay forget about it,

If he was doing it to play like Ferrero he's stupid, I'd rather use Duralast and play like Rafa myself lol.

He hit both. He was trying all 4 combos, Orig , orig and vs 130, bbalu, bbalu and vs 130, both the vs combos we in practice. the first match he hit orig. He kicked a racquet back and asked to have bbalu put in and he finished the last few games with it. If he had played the last match on Sunday he was going with the bbalu and 2 of the orig just in case.

Hello??? if you read the entire post you would know that the court in Carson was extremely slow like a slow clay court (thanks to P Mac) and he was trying to find something that would work under the conditions there. he is back to the ALU.
