Enjoyed that post. Suspect that you are not a stranger to writing.

Thanks. Yes, I do write for a living. Unfortunately, not about tennis.

Watching a Davis Cup match between Agassi and Becker it suddenly occurred to me that Andre started shaving his legs at some point. Then I realized a lot of players have perfectly bald legs. Which is something I noticed before but didn't really think about much. But Agassi was a hairy monkey back then.

I read the book over the holidays. I thought it was very engaging. I really enjoyed it! Andre was always my favorite as a kid. If anything I like him more now after reading the book not less!

I just finished reading this book.

I respect his honesty throughout the book but I think he came across quite self-centered and immature throughout a lot of it. That whole revenge against Becker thing, and the way he dealt with Brooke Sheilds while she was filming "Friends"... plus making sure we all know that Sampras only tips the guy who parks his car $1. In fact a lot of unnecessary digs against Pete and his "dullness". Still a great read if you like tennis.

As for the Becker thing i see no issue with that.....revenge can be a great motivator. Seeing that he was blowing kisses to Brooke in the US Open match...come on.

Lets remember they didn't have a great marriage so insecurities can come into play and the whole "Friends" thing does make sense.

As for the Pete thing, yea that might of been a little much especially annoucing how cheap he was but hey I enjoyed it.

I loved the part about when Steffi's dad met his dad. They took their shirts off wanting to fight each other!! Funny stuff.

To be honest, I just don't understand why people hate him being himself. Who cares what he did back then, when we're young some kids can be pushing over the boundries, while others maybe stay at boundries, and other may stand way behind the boundries.

It took lots of guts to open up like that. People should just respect him.
