Tough. Agassi came close to beating him earlier in the year in the semis of I believe Indian Wells. I personally do not think at this point he has the confidence to beat a guy like Federer, or any other top player for that matter. Still, I would love to see him win another major, especially the US Open.

I also think it'd be tough for Andre to beat Fed, but I wouldn't put anything past him. And a Haas at 100% will be in the top 3 by next year. Let's hope he doesn't have any more injuries.

hmm.. no offence but top 3? How do u see that? Haas was number 2 to Lleyton back when he was fit and playing his best. Lleyton isn't even in the top 3 at the moment.

I'd have Fed/Roddick/Ferrero/Coria/Nalbandian/Moya/Hewitt above Haas if they are all fit. I think Haas will make top 10 by next year.. but top 3.. that's rarefied territory.

When Haas is 100% his game is just as good as Fed's. He's really versatile.

dude, im sure youre a nice guy but stop with the haas nonsense. he is nowhere near fed i mean he is ranked 37th for gods sake.

fed is s different player than he was in 2000 and 2002 the last time they met.

Just because he's ranked 37 doesn't mean anything. He didn't play all last year.

I've only seen Haas play a few times this year. I think his total game stacks up well against the best. His backhand is without a doubt is on-par with the best in the game. While his forehand isn't quite the weapon that Federer's is...it's still quite good. He's also not quite the athlete that Federer is. Federer has the footwork of a world-class soccer player. Obviously Federer's the favorite in any match...but I think Haas when he eventually gets back into form could be a worthy opponent for Federer

Haas is actually ranked 67 on the Entry at the moment, although I'm sure he'll improve on that as he's still got six months with no defences. Look for him to take out Roddick this week in Cincy.

With regard to the question, yes it is possible that Andre beats Roger again (this time last year Andre was 3-0 against him), although with the way both are playing right now, I would expect Roger to win. Now that Andre has fallen out of the top 10, a match like this might even happen in the 4th round or quarter-finals of the US Open.

Haas is a good player, but he's just streaky. A little less of a loose cannon than Marat, but not by that much. Haas is more of a baseliner than Fed, he really doesn't come in too often. I've been an Andre fan since '88 and Fed is going to have to play bad to let Andre beat him right now, unless Andre steals the zen tennis back.
