In other news, Andre Agassi never won Wimbledon in 1992. It was all recreated in a studio in Hollywood, just like the moon landing was. Ivanisevic was paid $3 million to keep quiet about it all these years. He took the money because he thought he would have many more chances to win Wimbledon anyway. LOL

Agassi also reveals in his tell-all, confessional, soon to be released autobiography that he actually hits a one-handed backhand and is actually a serve and volleyer but just pretended to hit a two-handed backhand and be a baseliner throughout his career. ;) LOL

You have to be in a really shallow place to put so much of your identity in your hair.

If only Agassi had decided to shave his head the night before the final. It would've given him a huge psychological advantage. No longer having to worry about the hairpiece falling off, shocking his opponent with the new look, being more aerodynamic and free on the court. I think all that would balance out the fact that he would be bald. Then again, maybe he would've worn a cap or something.

He should have waited til he'd been out of the game for at least ten years before unleashing all his disturbing confessions. Now he won't have anything to say when everybody has really forgotten about him. :(

you're not kidding. I know he wore the headband/hat alot in those days and I remember thinking the headband did a great job of covering his hairline..giess i was wrong, really wrong. I was shocked when he came out "shaved"...

you are joking with a health issue that affects millions of mens and womans!
    agassi is just one.

all the know and effective alopecia treaments have severe influence in the male sexual functions - hence the manhood point - nothing to joke about!

My hairline has been receding since I was about 21. I've been lucky that it has been slow and that I had a lot of thick hair to begin with. I totally freaked out at first. But I came to relize that it is only hair. If I define who I am and what level at which I am a man by a lack of hair then I am truly shallow. My actions and the way I live my life are what defines my "manhood" as you put it, and my character.

Being bald is not a health issue.

Bald people are perfectly healthy (unless, of course, they lost their hair due to chemotherapy or other cancer treatments or illness). For example, Agassi is bald and he's very healthy.

Gorecki you must really not look good with a shaved head if you are this upset about losing your hair.

I'm balding as well. Use rogaine and propecia and you will slow the hair loss.

Maybe it doesn't upset me too much bc I always kept my hair cut short and I look ok w a shaved head.

The thing about balding that gets my goat is the fact that I have to pay the same price for a hair cut as the guy with the lions maine even though I have 1/2 the hair.

I stand behind my original comment. Completely. I gave my opinion, or judgment as you see it, after Agassi wrote about the issue in a soon to be world wide published book. I am hardly being picking on some innocent bystander walking down the street.

Nah, he still has lots of hair. But he wears one of those bald head rubber pieces because he thinks it's stylish...and he doesn't have to shave his head every day. (page 246 of his Book)

Hard to see why he was worried about looking bad if his wig came off when he was already wearing pink cycling shorts, being a laughing stock was guaranteed.

Um...if going bald was a health issue, half of all men would have dropped dead already.

Why are there so many healthy bald people still running around? Do people call an ambulance to take them to the hospital when they lose their hair? Do people get denied for health insurance because they're bald? Going bald is natural for some people. It doesn't mean you're sick or disabled or have a life-threatening disease like leukemia or brain cancer. Get over it.

It's a narcissistic issue mostly. I can understand how it would affect a young successful star advertising that "image is everything"!

    Doesn't make sense.

He could have worn a cap or something and just not take it off even during the ceremony (which might have been misconstrued as being disrespectful but hey it's the old rebel agassi).

Androgenetic alopecia is the one who affects most of us men. It is not classified as a skin disease at all, because it is not.
