You're missing the point. Agassi has always been about no regrets. He couldn't live with himself if he retired knowing that he could have kept going. Last year's US Open was one of the highest points of his career, he was seeing and hitting the ball like no one else. No way he'd retire after that. If he hadn't turned his ankle, things could have been different.

Who knows, maybe one day he'll wake up and his back and legs will feel great and he'll pull a Rocky Balboa and play in another tournament.

I hope you are eating your words in a few weeks...

The fact is Andre still hits the ball better than 99% of the guys on tour now and if it weren't for his injuries, he'd still be competing at a high level, and thats not to say that we wont be seeing him hold one more trophy up.

"Good evening, I'm Rob Reed with News Channel 11. Tonight we have a breaking story about the grotesquely dressed chinamen who have been "frolicking" and "trolling" together on TW forum. At first they were thought to have been TW members Zhan and DragonNeedSpank, but an unnamed eyewitness has positively identified these gross perpetrators as Saito and Sandiegotennisboy of TW's forum. We'll report the details in the coming days as this story develops."

Leave both Sampras and Agassi alone. They both will have retired on their own terms, and that's fine.

Sadly critics such as yourself fail to understand what it takes to stay at the top of a professional sport such as tennis. While he is old for a top tennis player, he is only one year older than last year, but has had injuries take there toll on him recently. Despite his intense training over the years, his current back injury is preventing him from finishing his career in a winning fashion.

So before you start casting stones at one the top 15 (arguably top 10)players of all time, have some empathy for his current injury situation.

who doesnt? he has kids to look after.

either way, people will have their opinions. youre wrong if you say that his goodbye tour sucks and youre wrong if you say that he shouldve retired while he was closer to the top, ie last USO. whatever.
