the only people who have sixpacks r people who WANT them. basketball players dont necessarily have 6packs, neither do footballers

tennis players at the pro level need strong abdominal muscles, who cares if they cant see washboard. losing weight to show those abs would change their game a little. andy roddick lost weight recently and his serve isn't clocking as high as it used to.

Hmm, I wonder if Dent really is that out of shape?

I think this is one of the few cases in which a tennis pro that looks out of shape really is. He was out from March to June with an ankle injury. He says that it took doctors a long time to figure out what the injury was, and that he couldn't even walk, much less actually do sprints and train, for those couple of months. Is a couple of months of sitting around on his behind enough to make him be that out of shape? I think so, and he said so too in his wimbledon interviews.

And nevertheless, he's doing pretty well - despite being self-admittedly out of shape, he got to the 4th round of Wimbledon, and to the semis of two minor tournaments (Nottingham, lost to Gasquet, and now Indy).

If this is how well he can play when he's out of shape, then that's still pretty goshdarned good... I guess it's when he's in shape that he makes those last couple of steps from the semi to the final and to the win...

I'd be disturbed by the photo, except all pics of Dent serving look exactly like that. Well, his face comes out more clearly in some, but then he still looks like a screaming maniac, just a slightly less-mutant and more human-looking one.

I like watching him play. It's too bad he's out of shape -- he's got a lot of potential.

When I first saw that pic I thought he had a surgical cut across his belly... then I realized it was a crease from FATS. Strange he doesn't snap his off-hand backwards.
