Right now I am looking into buying a new stringing machine. I have narrowed it down to these 2 but am still open to new suggestions.

If at all possible, would it be possible for someone to compare
    1) The clamp bases
    2) The 5 tooth clamps of Gamma and the 3 tooth clamps of Alpha
    3) Their tensioning systems
    4) The quality of the machines

    This would be really helpful.

    Much appreciated,
    Zhou

I have a 6004. I love it. I think the best thing about it are the clamps. The Super quick Cam-Lock swivel clamps are great, just a flick of the one finger and your locked down. The mounting system is very secure and fast. I choose the 6004 over the alpha as well. It is also the best looking crack made jmo.. I bought mine in December, and I am actually ready to move up to a star 5, (if i can ever get ahold an actual person at babolat) Let me know if you would like to buy a lightly used and always covered. I would guess it has 125-175 string jobs on it. I am only looking at the star 5 for the WOW factor, I like big toys =-) chriscoolmoran@hotmail.com drop me an email if you want a 6004 for alpha $$

I chose the 6004 over the Alpha also and love it. I don't think you would go wrong either way. The Gamma is readily available. The Alpha is hard to get. I ordered from TW, and it came with a lot of Gamma samples. Gamma sends you pretty much every tool you need except a calibrator. The $200 price difference is made up pretty quickly.
