get some duct tape and tape a 5 lb. dumbell.
I wanted something more head light, so i taped a 5 lb dumbell to my grip. It feels a little awkward but you'll get used to it. I counterbalanced with another 5 lb dumbell at noon.

Don't fisherman still use LEAD weights?
I reloaded about 30,000 rounds of ammunition, at least 20,000 rounds of lead wadcutters in hollowpoint.
As long as you don't ingest huge amounts of lead, you'll be OK.

Are you guys serious? All this stuff ends up in land fills eventually... I'm not worried about my ingestion... yeah lets just throw lead in the trash, who cares? Lead fishing weights are outlawed in many states...

press a heavy snake dampener at 3 and 9 or 12 against the racquet frame and the added weight acts like having lead

Ahh....lead comes from the ground. ..basically. . When it goes to a land fill.. it is truly being recycled. .

I find it funny how a naturally common material suddenly is environmentally unfriendly

To me, lead is more environmentally friendly than plastic, which is man made material.

Much ado about nothing here. Landfill lead has a negligible effect on you. Everyone we see clinically with lead toxicity was eating the wrong kind of paint or doing something else stupid to end up in that condition

Just keep the used lead tape in box/container. Call up your local sanitation company once it's full. They'll take it and dispose of it properly. Same with used batteries...

Yeah I really wonder why every so often you see threads on here about people looking for alternatives to lead tape. I wouldn't worry about lead toxicity unless you plan on ingesting it. Lead tape is cheap and pliable. Are they looking for a more expensive way to add weight or do they want something that's harder to work with?
