I've been meaning to get a decent racquet for ages and last week i finally ordered one (radical mg os). I still haven't received it so today i used my cheap walmart federer 110, it looks like she knew she was going to be retired, this was the end result after hitting an overhead shot:

and this was 10 min before finishing my class, so i think she made an effort to stay together during our last date...

Good god that throat. Why would they design a racquet like that?

My lady's father has a pair of those rackets, they worked for a while for him until I got him into the 300T's. I could never use those things though, they tore my shoulder out of socket LOL!

Because it looks awesome. I'd like to see them make a graphite racquet with that bridge design. In fact it would be awesome to see an entire racquet made like that as much as possible. An impossible pain in the ass to string, but awesome.

I just found out that lower part is SCREWED to the racquet, i found that amazing, no wonder the main hoop gets so stressed and breaks:

but that i can understand, it's not meant to last.
What i found most concerning is that the actual thing isn't properly aligned to the handle, as you can see here it's off center:

so depending on how which side i grabbed the racquet from, the actual impact angle would vary significantly. Frustro-matic for ya!

Ahh, I warmly remember breaking my first aluminum stick. My new, super-light graphite Pro Kennex was the envy of the tennis team.
