He has lost the only 3 matches he played on grass - goes into Wimbledon with ZERO confidence.

He hired Lendl way too late - sure he may be mentally tougher than he was before - but what does that matter now that he is irreversibly PHYSICALLY declining? It happens to all grinders with his playing style at his age. He peaked physically at the 2012 AO SF and has been declining since then.

Anyway - you heard it here first - wouldn't be surprised if Andrew suffered a 'shock' 1st round loss, but definitely no further than R2 at Wimbledon.

LOL. Murray is a QF lock, most likely Semis. He's made 3 Semis in a row at SW19, I don't see him falling that short.

He's played 1 match on grass. Practice sets don't count.

Murray made the third round whilst ranked 312. That's his worst Wimbledon performance.

    Mahut a grass court specialist.
    Tipsarevic a top ten player.
    Djokovic defending Wimbledon Champion.

Most likely Murray would not play players of that level in the early rounds.
Going to be two chumps in the first two rounds like it is for all the top 4 players.

You fail the moment you started the thread.

I'm betting he makes it to the SF. GS tournaments are another animal versus regular tournaments and exhibitions. The GS format of 3/5 separates the men from the boys.

If Murray does lose early, it wouldn't surprise me, but I expect him to get to the quarter finals at least.

If Andy can make the quarters at RG,he can at least make the quarters at Wimby. I think he has a good shot at making the final this year if he avoids being in Prilosec's half of the draw.

I´m trying to identify that body, any guess?
Not Agassi, not Sampras or Federer, they have hairy hands.
Looks too white to be Rafa, and I can´t recognize the clothing brand.
    I think it´s a lefthander, maybe Mac.

Lendl peaked too early in some of his grass season campaigns, he's just making sure Murray does the opposite.

It's all part of the plan

Nadal will face Haas in 3rd, Kohlschreiber in 4th, Tsonga in QF, Murray in SF this year.
I hope he will get eliminated by Haas in 3rd.

Murray will face Davydenko in 1st, Ferrer/Del Potro in QF this year.
I hope he will get eliminated by Del Potro in QF.
Then we'll have a new pair in SF this year at Wimbledon - hopefully Tsonga vs. Del Potro.

We nearly had Tsonga vs Delpotro in the RG semi a few weeks ago.

But, lol, even if Murray scrapes past Davydenko (which is a tough 1st round match on a fast surface), he will never get past Karlovic who will take him out in 3 tiebreak sets.

I will never forget that epic game between Dr. Ivo and Muzzah at Canada(?) in 08/09 which left Karlo on the floor and Muzzah doing the chainsaw. :)

Haas and Kohlschreiber play each other in the first round so I doubt they'll both get to play Rafa. :)

Sorry I misread, but it will be a challenge for Rafa to play with either one of them for sure. I hope Rafa gets an upset here.

I made it before the draw came out - and lo! The draw comes out and Murray has the hardest one.

Murray has Davy, Karlovic, Dimitrov, Anderson, RANOIC, Querrey, Cilic, DELPO in his quarter. All the big servers that did well in Queen's (Anderson, Querrey, Cilic) and two potential rising stars (Dimitrov, Raonic). Let's say he gets luck all the way through, you still got Delpo as your insurance bet. Would be actually surprised if Murray can make the semis. But then again who cares because he's gonna be blasted off the court by Rafa.

    Whoops!

I have Murray getting to the finals losing to Federer.

I have Stepanek surprising Djokovic in the 2nd round and Haas doing the same to Nadal

Lucky win by Murray today - one felt that if Davy won the 3rd set he would have gone on to win in 5 comfortably.

Besides, Davy was playing terribly, making Mugray look good, he will burn as soon as he faces someone with a decent serve and a decent return.

Sorry, meant to say anyone with a decent serve or decent return, so nope, it doesn't rule out Karlovic who will smash the Scott in R2.

Agreed, I don't think his draw is all that bad. A couple of burnt out has beens, a few erratic talents, some big servers and a clay court specialist in the qf. Semi against naval here we come.

And karlovic hasn't a hope. Murray is the best returner in the game and karlovic has nothing but a serve.

I haven't even mentioned Raonic (because of course Murray will bow out before he gets that fa) - but Raonic is an insurmountable object on grass for one with such limited potential as Murray.
