hahaha. He also beat Nadal in 2008 and Djokovic in 2011.So he has had quite a few wins over these guys in their best seasons. Don't think he even played Nadal in 2013

Kind of offended me in some way (own the Blu-ray), but had no idea this was Scorcese. The 71 year old certainly connects with a younger audience and I'll have to open my mind some more to the extreme nature of the film. Shutter Island (no idea Scorcese) and Cape Fear would be the standouts for me, but I've not seen the three mentioned.
I'd also recommend 'The Departed' - that's a very, very good film indeed! :)

The Muzzard will reach #1 no question about it.......next year or the year after, for a week,a month,6 months who knows but i guarantee before he hangs up his raquet he will get there!
You "guarantee"? No, you can't.

Theres a jimmy carr joke in there, but i might get banned :D
Good choice.

Nishikori really screwing up the game plan with breadsticks today. Looks like it is all on Fed to do some SABR rattling Tuesday (Berdy will be toast Thursday.)

He's gonna need to do well at the WTF that's for sure.
If this were semis at Australia, Fed takes Djoker out. For two majors next year on average Fed would be in Djokovic half. Murray just has to keep his two ranking and life is easier.

Fed in the finals of Australia wouldn't look good either though, regardless of Fed's age.

I personally think his best option would be a guy like Wawrinka taking Djoko out in the QF-SF and facing off against him in the final.

Really anything is better than Nole given their last two finals. WTF may be a nice preview for next year. This is unbelievable (Fed dusting Nole in RR.)

Yeah, agreed.

I hope the WTF is a preview of next year, Nole winning everything isn't as exciting as when all 4 guys split the slams (even though Nole still ended the year at No. 1).

Let's hope he lives up to his words. I was sort of frustrated to see Murray's surgery halting his progress in 2013. I really wish he can finally fulfil his potential. It doesn't matter if he gets to no. 1 or not, I just want to see him back at 2012-2013 level or better.

Murray and his supporters can keep having day dreams but I believe his current #2 ranking is actually over achievement for him considering his level of play. This is his peak ranking and after watching Rafa playing at decent level yesterday, I think, Murray will get thrown back to #4 next season again which is his current true ranking anyway.

Problem is he often brings his worst tennis against big players, when hr should be bringing his best. Yesterday for example against Nadal was terrible, as was Paris Masters final. Him likely finishing number 2 just highlights weak era, considering this year hasn't been close to his highest level. Surely he's gotta start considering a change of coach.

Think about it like this - even if he wins next 5 matches against ND it will still bother him because he would be another 5-6 behind ND and being a guy with "only" two slams at the age of 29 (2016) he knows his time is running out to be truly recognised as someone who was supposed to belong to the Big 4. And there is no way in hell that he will be able to convince himself that he is that good, so his confidence soars, to win against ND in forthcoming finals because as No.2 that is where he would meet ND if he were to meet him. He would need to pass either Nadal, Fed or Stan first and by the time he gets to the final (if he does) he would be a mess.

He simply does not have it. He plays decent tennis when he is not playing the other 3.

And, at the age of 29 his body is injury prone more than ND's. Do your objective and realistic maths.

.

How'd that all work out mate?

I don't like to agree with @D.Nalby12, but as you can see he's spot on here, like he always is.

And also sadly missing from TTW of late??? - What will we do, without his precise and accurate predictions ?
And jolly manner.....????

I hope he'll come back soon, to take the plaudits here on TTW for his near clairvoyant ability to predict jack sh1t.

The Bin Man Bum Murray is just RUBBISH ! Well Spotted Nalby !

What next ? Raonic for Pope ??
