At least he takes it serious unlike our top NBA players who wont even go to Athens.

Agreed. It is a little different, however. The competition is just as stiff as the ATP tournaments these guys play in since the top tennis players are from all around the world. If all of the top-notch NBA players from the states went to Athens, they would blow through the competition and win another gold. The international competition is a lot better now, though, than when the original dream team played.

Olympic tennis does not make sense. Every major tournament is a world wide event. We have Davis cup, etc.. next I guess golf will be added.

I would rather watch a major tournament which means something. The Olympic's are obsolete since most events are controlled by professionals athletes.

why is it that a disproportionate number of roddick fans' posts include words like "da," "iz," and "bomb"?
does he just appeal to the cross-eyed illiterate in all of us?

    WORD!

I assume you don't include me in that description, dander.

But Andy has a lot of younger fans, who use that method of communication. I used to think it was because it allows you to type less characters. But I wonder why typing NEWayz is easier than anyways? :?:

It just sounds rather intellectually sub-normal to me.

Hey dander, one of the slang words in his post is the same word as in your signature. I guess the pot can call the kettle ghetto?

Safin? Controlling himself? Nonsense! I wager that the insane Marat is talking, not the good Marat.

safin also said this..."Marat SAFIN (RUS)

    On his comeback season:

"I am feeling good and I am on my way to the top 10. I hope to catch up with the top 10 players and beat them a couple of times."

That's to-day. Who knows what he'll say to-morrow. the media love the rollercoaster man. LOL

I must admit I thought Roddick was a serious headcase whrn I saw the broken racket pics during practice, but then I thought "He's not breaking them during the actual match". Haven't you ever had a bad practice session? You can't break your racket, but he can afford it. I would think Roddick a loserman if he does this in Greece during a match, but who hasn't thrown something and felt better afterwards!

ps Ali G will be washing my car in 5 years

let's see, you're on the TW message board trolling for 20 year old mcenroe and agassi gear that looked abominable when it was new, but you're calling Ali G a loser...

After seeing that my support for Roddick winning a medal has declined greatly. I would rather see Moya, Fish, or Federer win some.
