Prince of Tennis is a pretty lousy anime. Basically, only 25 percent is actual tennis with the remaining 75 percent being stereotypical Dragonball Z super power fantasy bullcrap!

Slam Dunk which is a basketball anime from the 90's is VERY well done.

Only one I've watched was Kenshin which was pretty good. Also saw the live action which was also pretty good.

Does avatar count even though it's american?

I wouldn't say I'm an anime fanatic, but I'm a big fan of One Piece.

Overall, I haven't seen many series, though.

What I like? I've finished a couple of gooders over the last few years, and I'm still working on some...

    Death Note
    Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
    Blood+
    .hack//sign
    Code Geass
    Darker Than Black (My favourite!)
    Mushi-shi
    Prince of Tennis
    Gundam Seed
    Naruto / Naruto Shippuden

Those are some of the more popular ones I've seen, but I've liked them all for different reasons!

That looks so exciting! It's next on my watch list once exams are done! :D

Have you checked out / heard of Dead Man Wonderland? It's sort of in the same vain, and I really dug it. It's a weird anime, but I highly recommend if a little bit of gore doesn't bother you!

    This is Mirai Nikki right?
I haven't watched it yet but i've seen various scenes on youtube. Anime is probably my 3rd biggest hobby behind tennis (duh) and Ping Pong.

Edit: NVM I looked it up.

One thing that I hate about anime unless you read the manga, is that often times they lose funding and you only get to see one or two seasons. Kenichi, Chrome Shelled regios and a few others received rave reviews and have a good following but probably will never be continued because they aren't as commercial as Naruto and Bleach.

I've seen a few Studio Ghibli productions (Grave of the Fireflies, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and Ponyo), and seen a few others like Metropolis, Akira (which I was far too young for at the time ), some of the Animatrix shorts.

I've also seen a few TV series like Gravitation, and some children's cartoons from years back like Ox Tales and Peter Pan no Bōken when I was little.

Not many admittedly, but enough to get a taste of it.

I used to draw manga characters obsessively when I was a teen. Not very well admittedly , but I was enthusiastic at least. Manga adaptations of Legend of Zelda videogames in particular were a favourite of mine.

I hate those anime shows that are heavily dependent on the female characters. In other words, breasts galore!

    For example, Heaven's Lost Property.

Elfen lied is a great anime despite the blood and violence.
It has a great story, even though it is sad.

    Another great anime is Berserk.

elfen lied was just strange in my onion, bunch of half naked super power girls going around killing for no real reason.

story lacked any real depth. attack on titian on the other hand has a crazy plot, that is worthy of the death note team.

they have set the bar even higher with this work.
