Just found out today that my seat belt does not lock when I yank at it. It should lock right, instead nothing happens. I tried to Google it but I couldn't find anything either on you tube or suggestions about how to fix it.

Anybody know how ti fix it?

    Thank you

The locking/retracting mechanism is no longer working. Sudden centrifugal force apply brakes to the retracting mechanism. If this no longer works, then I think most repair manuals recommend replacing.

cheapest way to fix is to replace the entire assembly in a junkyard. seat belt assembly are usually a self contained unit unless u have one of them electronically self locking kinds in the Lexus and a couple of luxury models.

It's may save your life. Replace it with a new one and if you have any doubts about doing it yourself, have it done by a shop.

Is it supposed to lock just when you pull it?
AFAIK on most cars it only locks when pulled during quick car deceleration. (during braking/crashing).

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I'm going to replaced it for sure! If I just think I drove the car for so long without knowing it was not working scares me!thank God never had any accident.
