Any pros past/present used this motion?

    You know that service motion where you start with your racquet on your shoulder, then toss and hit? I've seen players do this when they're recovering from shoulder problems. Do you know if any pros used this motion successfully for any period of time? Or any top NCAA players that used it?

    on the women's side golovin does at, as well as henin. i think they do it to keep the motion as simple as possible so it doesnt break down.

    Fernando Gonzales sort of does it.

    Chela did it a few years back. Not sure if he does now.

    Agassi did it in 1993 as a precaution before having surgery but went back to his normal motion after everything went well.

    Henin's beautiful game is somewhat spoiled by that horrible motion she started last August but again it's to protect her so I can't complain.

    Conchita Martinez's motion was very similar to what you are describing.
